The New Smith Era Begins: The Next Karate Kid

It looks like acting is in the blood for the Smith Family, and Will’s little man, Jaden, will be the next Karate Kid:
BCK reported last year in December that actor Will Smith’s son Jaden would be starring in a new version of the 1984 film “The Karate Kid”. More details are being released to further confirm 10-year-old Jaden’s role as the Karate Kid. Variety reports that the film will be produced by Jerry Weintraub (who launched the original franchise) and Overbrook Entertainment’s James Lassiter, Will Smith and Ken Stovitz. The film will be shot next year in Beijing and other cities and will center around the original plot of a bullied youth who uses Karate to stand up for himself.
Jaden’s film credits include ‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’(in post-production) and ‘The Pursuit of Happyness.” The original Karate Kid featured actor Ralph Macchio
We always love to see a beautiful black family pass the success down and start a tradition. However, they must be careful because it is not uncommon for Hollyweird children to turn out, well…weird.

Jaden is a self-centered and stuck up brat…you can tell from his interviews and T.V appearances how conceited he is. Compare his T.V/public appearances and interviews to that of young stars like Abigail Breslin, Dakota Fanning and even his own younger sister. You’ll see the difference.
Jaden will make headlines in the future…for all the wrong reasons. White girls take cover, cos this ish is about to chop you girls down in a couple of years…and more.

He is cute. I hope he is having fun being a kid and working. I hope that they are not putting a lot of stress on this kid to be a mega film star like his dad. I know it can be rough being a child star like the ones in the past who turned to drugs.

It really ran out of gas when Hilary S***** played the role. Jaden is talented and should be put in other films. I don’t think we need another Karate Kid. If anything, put him in another 80’s remake, like Goonies II. He could play the role of Data. Yeah, I could see that, lol. Why not Bruce Leroy’s little brother in the upcoming remake of Last Dragon…that would be dope!

I think he’ll have a good acting career. He’s got two parents that obviously have their feet rooted firmly in the parental grounds and they’ve NOT let Hollywood consume them or their children.
I can see him as a successful actor well into his teens–maybe even into adulthood. If that’s what he chooses.

Yeah that’s an awful career, to be know in Hoolywood as “Mr. Box Office” and makes 20 mil a film, more than some of his wife counterparts, dig that, just awful!! Jaden was wonderful in Pursuit, so an obviously Disne-esque movie wth him will be cute!

The kids ARE good looking however, which is luck of the draw I think.
When I see these kids I think of the good times in my life.
