Here at Bossip we treat the guys to their dose of cakes almost daily, so we thought we’d really kick the new year off right by putting the best man-bangers of 2011 on blast in hopes we see even more of them in 2012.
Keep clicking to see who made our list, but don’t forget to let us know who you want to see more of this year!
He’s not exactly a new face, but that body ooh it just keeps looking better! Common had one hell of a year. 2011 saw the debut of his hot new show “Hell On Wheels” (which has already been picked up for a second season) and the Chicago MC also released a revealing memoir “One Day It Will All Make Sense” and an album The Dreamer The Believer that was one of our favorites.
Tim Tebow may have been talk of the town but if you ask Ciara or Angela Simmons who their favorite quarterback was in 2011 chances are they’d have to name Cam Cam. Both ladies reportedly got friendly with the NFL newcomer this year and we can’t say we blame them. The dimple faced Heisman winner gets us all hot and bothered too! We just hope his team steps it up in the New Year so he can get all the shine he deserves.
“Were” Oh “were” did HBO find “True Blood’s” most bangin’ cast member??? Mangianello who plays Louisiana werewolf Alcide Herveaux has been trying to chop down Sookie’s irresistible fairy cakes since his introduction to the show. As much as we were denied this season we just know this year they’ll get it right and let us see Joe do his thing — and hopefully we’ll get to see EVERYTHING he’s working with!
Our ginger boo Blake made everyone feel his fire this year, with his neverending reel of highlight dunks and an eventual All-Star title for that particular talent. With the addition of Chris Paul to his team we hope to see lots more of Griffin this season and not just on Sportscenter.
While his star’s been on the rise for quite some time (check our archives, we’ve been clocking homeboy for a minute) landing on “Grey’s Anatomy” has put Jesse Williams in the spotlight that he truly deserves. Thank goodness Shonda Rhimes consistently writes scripts that call for the resident hottie to shed his shirt! But even when he’s fully clothed we can’t keep our eyes off his…
He might not quite be ready to come out them clothes for the camera, but our R&B man banger of 2011 had to be Frank Ocean, hands down. The crooner did it big, making a huge splash with his release Nostalgia Ultra and earning spots on Beyonce’s 4 and Watch The Throne before grabbing GQ’s Rookie of the year award. Of course we know he’s no rookie, but we’re looking forward to even bigger things from him in 2012.
Sure he’s been around for awhile, but between the buzz over Crazy Stupid Love and People Magazine’s obvious fail when they didn’t proclaim him hottest person alive, he’s definitely become THAT GUY this year. Plus he’s now knocking Eva Mendes down. Can someone in Hollyweird do their job and go ahead and cast them opposite each other in some steamy drama so we can get some real onscreen entertainment in 2012???
As fine a specimen as he is, you know we couldn’t forget the NBA’s 2011 MVP when assembling this list. It helps that besides Rose’s talents on (and off) the court he’s also not shy about letting the whole world know how much he loves his mama! We love her too… for bringing all that beautiful man bangingness into the world.
Sexual chocolate! Mehcad’s never been shy about showing off his assets or his ego and while we loved him in roles on “Desperate Housewives” and “True Blood” he truly hit his stride in 2011 in his latest stint as NFL playboy TK on USA Network’s “Necessary Roughness.” It’s also nice watching him play a part where flexing for the cameras is a requirement.
Sorry ladies, no gratuitous chest shots of Meeky. While Wale put a solid album out in 2011, Meek Mill was clearly the team’s breakout sensation — at least in our eyes. Tall, dark and passionate (you’ve heard the delivery, you know what we mean) we’d have absolutely no problem meeting him in the bathroom — we’re down for his kind of “House Party.”
He’s caught our eye over and over and over again in many movies. One of the stars of our favorite independent film this year I Will Follow we want to see Omari Hardwick win and win big in 2012. Hopefully the makers of Bolden! and Sparkle will make that a reality.
