It astonishes me how self-righteous we can be about homosexuality but seem to much more likely to give a free pass to the violent antisocial behaviors that terrorize our communities and which are seen as badges of honor in lots of rap music. Two consenting adults of the same sex loving each other and being honest about it doesn’t hurt anyone! (Now being DL is another story altogether because its based upon deception.) We should be morally honest: promiscuity, infidelity, accepting dirty money and making dirty money off of drugs, stolen goods and prostitution, neglecting kids, violence in the home and in the street- those are the real threats to our people. And those are the lifestyles we should be worried about promoting to our children.

Yes I can, statistically that behavior as a long term effect on the community. Because the effects aren’t immediate as something violent doesn’t mean that its not important. With the shortage of males, AIDS rates, and broken homes it does matter. All of this is beside the religious reasons of course.

No I am not closet straight. I have been with my partner for 6 years. I have not felt the touch of a man in the whole six years. I love being with a female and very comfortable with it. As far as because she looks like a dude. I wouldnt say she “looks” like a dude persay. She dresses in men clothes and wears suits and things like that but I know when we go to the bedroom she is a female and I know always whats under her clothes that she is a female and that’s all that matters to me bc that is what I want and attracted to.

If they don’t see it on tv they will definitely see it out in public. Nowadays it’s in schools more then any other place.

My kids are home school because of the faulty information they are feeding our kids. Teaching begins in the house. This is what I’m saying, if my kids decide to partake in such activities then that will be their business. I will not agree with it but my love for my kids will not let me disown them. Ignorance is the number one disease that is killing our community. Such ignorance causes ‘undercover brothers’ to lead double lives because they are afraid of not being accepted as they are. I dont believe that children get all the sexual inuations (probably spelled wrong) in cartoons that we can see because our mind is more mature and understanding. Some of that stuff goes over their head, even on spongebob, but then again, some kids are very smart because of what they are allowed to see and hear, even in the home. My husband and I watch certain programs with our son…mostly the cartoon network and luckily we haven’t had this happen yet but I bought a book to try and help us explain when the time comes.

He only watches about an 1 1/2 worth of television during the week so that may help us some.

It is a fair question but we haven’t had the experience yet.

I never said they were not influenced by television but if PARENTS would QUIT letting TV be the PARENT then maybe the decisions they make would be the ones you would like! If parents would take more time to talk to their children, monitor their activities and quit being their best friend then maybe they would be better off. Quit letting the media teach your children. Quit pointing the blame. I remember when I couldnt even watch horror movies as a child, but now, children watch whatever they want so it goes back to values and the home!

I ain’t gonna buy this homophobics album for the simple fact that he said that about gays, I’m straight as an arrow married with two kids but I’ll be damned if I give my hard earned money to somebody with all that HATE in them. Hope you don’t make any money off your album.

I guess I’m more open to things because I have no religion, and people seem to hate me for that. However, I as a non-religious person, don’t try to force my beliefs (or lack thereof) on anyone else. I’m often judged and ridiculed by “Christians” for my lack of religion, and because I accept all people as they are (which is a Christian belief), I’m also ridiculed. The hypocrisy in some religion is really stomach wrenching. I’m not directing this to all religious people either. However, how many of you on here are against homosexuality due to religious morals? For those who answer yes to that question, and have had premaritial sex, please stand down and take your place with the rest of us. yea thats true but it is damn near impossible for a person to gain knowledge without being taught. you can read all you want but if there is no one you can ask for clarification or explanation than you wont get it all. you cant look at the chruch as heaven. somehoe you have to learn how to seperate the man from the message. if you want to look at a pastor like he is god and you get mad or offended everytime you think is doing wrong you will always be disappointed. Ultimately however, it’s up to that sinner to fully accept their faults and do something about it. Someone can tell me I’m stupid, but will they help me become smarter? They can if I’m ready. Obama may be against gay marriage, which is fine, but civil union is what most gays are advocating for.
