Everybody doesn’t get it. Kanye is making music for the masses. It will sell huge overseas and when the Asians and Europeans start calling him a musical genius, all of you so called righteous black folks who choose to still use slave names as a term of endearment to tear him down will jump on the band wagon. Why does there have to be a mold for what blackness is?

Thank you Common, Kanye West, Pharell, Will.I.AM, Cee-lo and the various other black artist that refuse to be categorized by racist white folks and backward thinking black folks. The sad thing about this instance is that white folks see the genius in his music. Jimmie Hendrix went through the same thing back in the day, but now black folks want to praise and claim him, even though they can’t get with the music. Black folks are f*&king sad sometimes. I’m from Chicago and we grew up on that House Music sh*t, which some black folks across America will never truly get. We dressed different and looked different than most other black folks who were doing R&B and HipHop, which is part of the flavor that Common and Kanye bring to HipHop. You will never understand it!!

I agree with most of the comments on here: everyone may not like Kanye’s new direction. It happens with many visionary artists. When Prince released the album, “Around the World in a Day” many people did not like the album. He probably lost some fans. Not that Kanye is like Prince, but everyone may not feel his new record;however, some people will and those people will enjoy it. As for the cover, not the best picture of Kanye. He is going for the whole Andy Warhol, Pop Art thing, but sadly it will be lost on majority of urban and rap fans. You say all you want to about Kanye, but at least he is attempting to do something different, even if he is riding the vocoder trend. He adds reverb to his vocoder-style vocals, so it is a little different from t-pain.
