We have a renewed effort to capture that diabolical terrorist, Osama Bin Laden:
President-elect Barack Obama wants to renew the U.S. commitment to finding al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, according to his national security advisers. Osama bin Laden remains on the run despite a $25 million reward for his capture. The Obama team believes the Bush administration has downplayed the importance of catching the FBI’s most-wanted terrorist because it has not been able to find him.
“We will kill bin Laden. We will crush al Qaeda. That has to be our biggest national security priority,” Obama said during the presidential debate on October 7.
But tracking down bin Laden won’t be easy. In May, al Qaeda released an audiotape featuring bin Laden. But U.S. intelligence officials say they haven’t had a solid lead on the terrorist mastermind’s whereabouts since late 2001, when he was nearly captured in a battle with U.S. forces near Tora Bora, Afghanistan.
Robert Baer, a former CIA field officer, told CNN he’s talked to “a dozen CIA guys who’ve been on the hunt for him, and half of them told me they assumed he was dead, the other half said they assumed he was alive, but the key word here is assume. They don’t know.”
If you want things done right, you have to do them yourself. Or rather, send a team of professional killers to do it and pay them a lot of money. Either way, if Barack says we’re gonna smoke that tall camel out of his cave and kill him, then that’s just what the hell we’re gonna do.

Not sure I like such slack talk about killing Bin Laden coming from Barack because I think he should be tried and sentenced (if convicted) 1st. Then he could be executed or whatever.

My brother is very intelligent, but, I don’t know. I’m still very much skeptical.

Killing Osama bin Laden would only make him a martyr like the US did in the 60’s to Argentine revolutionary Ernesto “Che” Guevara. Osama needs to be brought in alive and tried in court. When found guilty, no executions like they did to Saddam Hussein. People like this need to be observed and studied, so we can prevent future dictators and terrorists. Along with changing our foreign policy.

I agree with Phoenix. I would want these dudes to suffer and stay alive in prison for awhile. They must be studied. Besides, Osama is not really just some crazy man. He was *****ed because his government was bought off by the West. That is his take on the matter anyway and that speaks to international foreign policy. Killing him will not make bad policy disappear.
If there was a black dude in Africa kicking white ***** during colonialism’s hey day, how would we feel about his actions? Remember the Uni-Bomber? He was *****ed at these large companies taking advantage of the public long before we got mad and found ourselves in this economic crisis. Notice we never learned why the Uni-Bomber was so angry and we lost an important lesson, but we are paying for it anyway.
In many ways, killing off these dudes is much like guilty governments covering their tracks. By no means do I agree with Bin Laden. I’ll say it again. I DON NOT AGREE WITH BIN LADEN’S METHODS. I just agree with Phoenix. Bin Laden did not become who he is today all by himself. I want to know the full story before his is offed. That is the real benefit we will gain, but you know we will never be allowed to know any of that. It would all be edited for public consumption as usual.
X is right on most of that stuff…and Bossip you are wrong for blindingly supporting everything Obama wants to do…if you really knew anything at all you’d know that Obama is being coached into running a pipeline thru Khazikistan into China and getting Afghanistan colonized is the only way to do that.
