"I Met Harold at the Playboy Party": Republican Campaign Ad against Harold Ford Jr. Called Racist

LMAO@ the girls voice “I met Harold at the Playboy party”. This republican attack ad is being called racist by the NAACP and other political figures. After denying he ever attended the Playboy party, Tennessee Senate hopeful Harold Ford Jr. now says he was there and that he likes “football and girls”. Click here for the audio of Harold Ford saying he never attended a Playboy party on ABC’s This Week.

According to the NAACP:

“It is a powerful innuendo that plays to pre-existing prejudices about African-American men and white women,” Hilary Shelton, head of the Washington NAACP office, told the Los Angeles Times.

Besides the fact that Ford was caught lying, is this ad racist and if so, why? I don’t see a lot of Black women at Hef’s crib. According to the NAACP logic, the Republicans would have to use a Black woman to represent Ford being at the Playboy party. I hope Ford wins but he needs to stop being a politician (lying). This ad does appear to race-bait (Black Men, White Women in the south) by finishing:

“FORD IS JUST NOT RIGHT“. The coded message appears to be FORD IS JUST NOT WHITE.
