T.I. To Take the Stand

According to Livesteez, T.I is set to testify in the shooting death of his close friend in Cinci:
One of two men implicated in the murder of T.I.’s childhood friend, Philant Johnson, went on trial yesterday (November 18) in Cincinnati facing multiple charges including murder and felonious assault. Authorities spent almost two years investigating the May 2006 chase and shoot out that left Johnson dead and three other individuals in the Grand Hustle camp wounded. It wasn’t until this past summer that police caught a break, which lead to the arrest of 40-year-old Padron Thomas and 36-year-old Hosea Thomas, who stands on trial alone in the crime. The elder Thomas brother, along with two others charged with federal gun crimes, contacted officials earlier this year with details of the incident, effectively pointing the finger at Hosea as the killer.
Padron Thomas alleges, he and his friends confronted T.I. and his crew over gaining entry to the VIP area at Club Ritz in the Roselawn area of Cincinnati. Following the ensuing fight, the Atlanta-based rapper and his entourage left the scene in two vans. They were chased by a green Jeep Cherokee, from which the shots were later fired. Padron Thomas has admitted to driving the vehicle and told authorities that his brother Hosea fired shots at the vans, one which was described as a “horror scene,” with blood and brain matter dripping from the ceiling. He also claims that at least one member of T.I.’s camp returned fire. While Hamilton County prosecutor Heather Gosselin indicated in her opening statement that the states case would “come down to witness testimony,” Hosea Thomas’ lawyer Charles Isaly pointed out that the character of those witnesses should be questioned. He insisted that all of the prosecution’s proposed witnesses are out to paint his client in a negative light in order to obtain reduced sentences for their own crimes. Padron Thomas’ plea deal has guaranteed that he will serve no time behind bars for his part in the incident. Prosecutors have allowed him to plead guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter, dropping the murder charges he originally faced alongside his brother. They had also agreed to allow him to serve any sentence he receives concurrently with his federal prison sentence.
It looks like it was a ghastly encounter that would make some of the hardest thugs clean up their act.
Considering the circumstances, if TI explains exactly what happened, would that still fall under the “snitching” category?

There is only two ways to be called a snitch… You are an offender of crime along side one person to a group of persons, you get caught, and rat on others to get a reduced charge.
Second way; you get caught in a crime, and to get a lesser charge you rat on someone police and/or detectives consider a greater person of interest.

That whole “Stop Snitching” act is getting a little old. Here’s a new motto: DON’T DO DUMB *****!!! Given all the technology that is out and about, you’re bound to get caught anyway. Its technically not snitchin, but it is for TI. For me, I would testify, but I don’t nor never have claimed to be gangster. All his records this dude made about being a G, he’s now showing that he’s a fraud. So in TI’s case, yes he’s a snitch. Good job! I have been thinking and saying the same thing for years. I used to run with my older cousins and homies in a set and as I got older, I watched all of my homeboys and homegirls end up in jail, in wheelchairs, or dead behind this B.S. thug life. After a while you get tired of visiting loved ones in the hospital and visiting grave sites. Especially once they stop bangin’. What these young gangsta’s fail to realize is that it’s usually your homies who end up settin’ you up, robbin’ you, etc… because those are the fools who roll with you day in and day out. Sometimes they know you better than you know yourself. What I’m sayin’ ya’ll is that it is important to fix and make up for the wrongs you did in life, cause if you die today, are those streets gonna save you from hell? U R correct!. E-40 even said that rappin’ is entertainment, The things he raps about he has either seen or heard. They are all studio gangsta’s. The only rapper that I can think of off of the top of my head who actually probably put in work (He still denies claims) was X-raided. He probably still locked up too. So also try to distinguish the difference between reality and make-believe. That is why I sat down with my kids and explained to them at an early age the difference between T.V. and reality. Cartoons don’t die, but people do. So if you met Jeffrey Dahmer before he got caught would you have told that he was eating people? I would’ve. Padron already snitched on his own brother!!! He got subpoenaed so T.I. would be foolish not to at least testify… Technically the most T.I. could do is either confirm or deny the real snitch’s story so he gets a p***** on that one.
