We hooked up with Atlanta GA native & hometown legend, DJ Jelly for some #RealHipHop barber shop talk. After we agreed on Pastor Troy’s street certified “No Mo Play in GA”. DJ Jelly went into the vault to contribute a classic mix tape from this era titled “Shut The Club Down”.
Mixtape Fact: 1999 mix cd release: DJ Jelly and DJ Montay collaboration (southern style DJ’s) the beginning of the Crunk era. A lot of Lil Jon, No Limit, Cash Money, Triple Six Mafia, Oomp Camp and of course Pastor Troy. It was the height of the legendary Club 559 which was burned down the following year and it was the end of Master P’s relentless reign in the Atlanta market, thanks to Pastor Troy’s infamous diss song “No Mo Play In GA”.
