Gabrielle Union Says She And Dwyane Wade Are Taking Their Time Wedding

Gabrielle Union says there’s no full court press on her to marry baller boo thang D-Wade. In an interview with Access Hollywood she talked about why her first marriage failed and how she and Wade are in no rush to wed:

“What you learn from divorce is you have to be incredibly honest, about what you want, what you need, and what your expectations are,” Union, 39, revealed. “As women, we’re sort of taught to go along, to get along, not cause any ruffles…but yeah, that got me divorced.”

When asked by host Billy Bush, if, after three years of dating, she and Wade consider their relationship to be a “serious” one, Union joked, “It’s seriously…awesome.” Added the star, “We’re taking our time!”

Explaining that she and her NBA star beau “both rushed” into their first marriages (Wade, 30, was married to his high school girlfriend until 2007), “Now we’re like, let’s take our time,” the actress explained. “If the goal is forever, what are we rushing for?”

What a refreshing point of view. We believe her too. Gabs doesn’t seem like she is pressed to get married again or have kids, she seems to like her freedom and independence. Do you think more women should be like her?
