Chris Brown Wins Big at AMA’s

Chris Brown added to his accolades last night at the AMA’s:
Chris Brown was the big winner at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, surprising himself most of all.
“I don’t know what to say. I would have given it to Coldplay,” said Brown, who won artist of the year, male pop/rock artist and male soul/R&B artist.
Breezy sure did get it in this year, and we aren’t just talking about Rihanna. We think he is deserving, but who else do you think should have gotten it if it wasn’t Breezy?

I thought they actually got it WRONG! A Keys should have won. I love Chris Brown, and Rihanna, but they were both upset wins last night. Chris is a great performer but his CD wasn’t better than Alicia’s or Coldplay’s and any category that Rihanna was in with Alicia Keys or Mary’s, Alicia Keys should have won or Mary. Alicia Keys Cd is good music you will listen to time and time again, RiRi, and I do like her CD, but its standard radio FAD music, it will be here today, gone tomorrow. Sorry RiRi its the truth.

Coldplay..but whatever its not his fault he won. He knew that there were people more deserving and that’s why he said it. But Chris has gotta work with his stylist more or Rihanna should have told him that his outfit was not right at all. But other than that I love Chris can’t wait for the new album.

Yeah they were careful not to hug each other…. really had to stop themselves with when Rihanna won her last award… as far as who won and lost…. it was based on fan votes so I’m not surprised that he won… Rihanna deserved her wins… she had a hellava year… I think however that she was placed in the wrong category…. she should not have been placed in r&b/soul category just like Alicia shouldn’t have been included in the pop/rock category…. but congrats to both Rihanna and Chris…
Seeing that these awards are based on the fans, I am not surprised that Chris Brown won. I would have preferred to give it to Alicia Keys, but oh well. Maxwell’s new album is slated for February 2009, so I’ll just wait look for him to win everything next year.

The fans voted this year and that is why Chris Brown won. Not saying her wasn’t deserving but I think the fan votes counted alot. I do think however that Rihanna and Chris deserved their awards because they definitely had a huge year… especially Rihanna.
I think she was placed in the wrong category… with her first win being R&B/Soul… that’s why a lot of folks were shocked that she won… just like Alicia being placed in the Pop/Rock category… seems like thety just threw in her in there to get the right amount of nominees. But anywhooo glad Rihanna and Breezy won…. congrats!!!!!!!!

I agree with Chris Brown… Coldplay was more deserving. CB’s music is okay, but there’s nothing particularly special about it. I think that Rihanna’s work is more distinctive than his.
I think Chris was deserving of his award. He should of prepared a speech. That comment about cold play winning was foolish.

congrats to the dude. Not to even hate, but Artist of the Year? There were too many GOOD albums over his OK album for someone else to not have won Artist of the Year. I know this means more than just the album, but I don’t see that one.
I suppose he’s safer than a rapper, but most of my people’s who listen to hip hop and r&b been bumpin Weezy (probably my choice) and Jeezy for a minute, and now TI. Even the females I know listen to them, and hard too. It’s funny when you don’t see the award results reflected in what you see in real life.
And how did he qualify for Male Pop/Rock AND Male Soul/R&B? I would have let him have the R&B one, though. He earned it over Usher or somebody else.
