Jennifer Hudson And David Otunga Talk Wedding Plans

Jennifer Hudson and fiance David Otunga say they’re ready to get this show on the road.

Jhud says now that justice has finally been served and the man who murdered her family is behind bars, she is ready to plan her wedding and walk down the aisle with the man who has been by her side through it all.

“That was something that was hanging over our heads for so long, and now we feel like we can finally breathe a sigh of relief,” Otunga, 32, tells PEOPLE. “Everything is good now.”

In honor of their deceased family members, the couple started the Julian D. King Fountain to donate Christmas toys and school supplies for underprivileged children.

As for Jennifer, he tells PEOPLE, “I’m blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my life who cares for our child so lovingly.”

Replies Jennifer, 30: “I care for my child like my mommy cared for me.”

Says Otunga of his wife’s skills as a mother: “It’s made me love her just that much more.”

While wedding details remain private, the couple did share that their 2-year old son David Jr. will be a part of the wedding and that they are very excited to finally start planning.
