Cardi B Attends Arraignment Over Assault Charge Stemming From Strip Club Fight
Bardi finished her post-divorce announcement partying spree and headed back north to NY to make up a court date she missed earlier this week.
According to TMZ reports, Cardi showed up four days after missing her originally scheduled date showcasing her famously fun personality by asking the crowd of paparazzi swarming her:
“Am I this famous?”
Monday the judge issued an extension warning that an arrest warrant would be issued if she didn’t show to face charges that she and her friends put paws on Baddie Gi and Jade, strip club bartenders she suspected of giving up the goods for Offset. Cardi was arrested and booked back in October on misdemeanor charges of assault and reckless endangerment.
Prosecutors asked that Cardi’s bail be set at $2,500, but the judge released her without bail noting that he didn’t believe she posed a flight risk. The judge also gave Cardi a stern warning not to have any contact with Baddie Gi and Jade, issuing protective orders for the pair and telling the rapper that “no contact” included making threats and comments on social media about the cocktail carriers.
Cardi is scheduled to return to court next month.
