BOSSIP: Adrienne, my first question is for you. Earlier this year you had a little wardrobe malfunction and we were curious if this is going to be on the show. We also wanted to know, like, how you came about choosing the outfit and the whole aftermath of that, how you handled it.
Adrienne Bailon: Got it. We actually shot the day I found out. We didn’t shoot the day that it happened. That night, like we didn’t shoot the whole day. And then the next day when I found out what had happened and that there were photos from the red carpet. I didn’t at the time know. We like went inside, watched Mariah Carey, had an amazing night and I actually didn’t find out that there was any photos until the next morning at around 9:00 – 10:00 am. And I had a call time to be on set to shoot a show at around 10:30. So, you know, obviously like anybody else I called my best friend, I obviously wasn’t really in the mood to shoot.
Adrienne Bailon: But the show must go on and we pressed and we filmed reality, we filmed the real life of what happened and it is on the show and you will get to see that. Who made the dress? You actually get all that information from watching the episode. It was a Dominique Ansari dress and I was supposed to be doing a clothing line with her and it was a sample piece that I wore on the red carpet.
BOSSIP: Okay. So, in the future anything different you’ll do with that kind of thing or are you still going to go sheer?
Adrienne Bailon: I still actually love sheer pieces. I don’t think that that was so much the issue; I think more so it was proper undergarments for something that had sheer panel.
The side of the dress actually was sheer, the front piece was not supposed to ever come up.
Even if I had panties on and the wind had blown, you still would’ve seen a – possibly a sheer panty, you know what I’m saying. You can’t control the wind. So…
Yes, I’m like, yo the wind, you can’t control that. So, in the future, you know, there are new panties that now actually don’t have sides to them. You can wear them so that your sides still can be sheer and yet you’re not showing anything in the front because that’s not a cute look. That’s nothing that should be seen.
How do you think Adrienne handled the question? Would you steer clear of sheer if that happened to you?
