I usually avoid Kim K posts, but I couldn’t resist. Um, has Kim ever exhibited any interest in international affairs?

I can more readily see Angelina Jolie in such a role, after all she has expressed an interest in global issues, from her travels to visits to Capitol Hill, and she has penned op-eds. There are other celebrities as well who are well known activists.

I’ll believe this when it is verified, but I see KK in more of an entertainment role than for an international policy purpose. There’s quite a difference between the two.

Doesn’t this description fit a broad swath of celebrities? And a number of them are already involved in issues of domestic and international concern, and have the business a*****en and resources to bring real weight to such a position.

I’m no expert on South Africa, but from the little I’ve read/seen (haven’t visited the country, but would love to some day — it’s beautiful), there are a number of pressing, serious issues confronting South Africans. Bossip just had a post that Kim K is considering posing nude again (correct me if I’m wrong), and the racy photos of her are endless.

Somehow this doesn’t strike me as a very logical match.

But, hey, maybe this could be the start of a new movement — aren’t there Playmates and Chippendales who would like to perform their global duty as well? Hmmm. . .

Clearly none of you know the primary criteria for being appointed to an amb*****adorship in the UN …. it’s money!! All the “celebrity” (I use that term loosely when referring to Kim K.) amb*****adors have made significant donations to the UN. Angelina Jolie wasn’t named an amb*****ador until after she’d donated $1 million. It’s an empty title. UN amb*****adors do not get involved in International policy or politics at all.

She comes from money – her late Daddy was a successful attorney who made a lot of $$ off the OJ trial and her step-father parlayed his Olympic success into numerous endorsements and business ventures. pay attention to the “story developing” part. This is all just a rumor at this point. Secondly, reality show and sex tape aside, Kim has been involved in fundraisers and other social causes for some time now. she recently made that Video with her sisters educating people about the tragedies going on in Myanmar (Burma) so a UN or foundation gig of any kind may not be so far-fetched since she brings attention to causes. people (especially non-black) that tune in to watch her show or read up on her via blogs who normally dont care or follow international news/events but have some money/time to burn are the demographics they are probably after here.

We got Corporations going bankrupt and folks barely able to pay rent and mortgages, if they need Kim K to bring attention to an issue or be a diplomat of some sort then so be it. Rather than boycott do something more constructive and donate money or use your vacation time to go to these places in Africa. They need all the help they can get!
