I went to a UN meeting 2 weeks ago about violence against women. One of the women giving the presentation actually made a statement acknowledging Africa as a country. Lady had a PHD…

The key word is “interested”…that doesnt really mean anything. When the paper work starts getting filled out, I’ll care..but the word “interested” means nothing really.

Why is there such confusion on Africa being a continent vs a country? I don’t get it!

I can more readily see Angelina Jolie in such a role, after all she has expressed an interest in global issues, from her travels to visits to Capitol Hill, and she has penned op-eds. There are other celebrities as well who are well known activists.

I’ll believe this when it is verified, but I see KK in more of an entertainment role than for an international policy purpose. There’s quite a difference between the two.

Not going there, bruh. I know many hold the stereotype that Africa is made up of villages, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Johannesburg, for example, is a global city (It’s on my list of places to visit) that’s very metropolitan in culture.
