Black folks are a joke. We are the only race that put a stigma on kids who wanted to learn and achieve as "trying to be white". Probably some illerate loser came up with that, so he wouldn't fill left out. 2.Why do black folks worry more about trends than education? 3.We are impressed when Magic builds theaters, fast food restarurants, yet we said nothing about trying to fund an independent libary or learning center, yet we jump and down, whenever a celebrity opens up a Dance Studio. Easiest thing in the world is teach a nigger to dance. 3.We get upset with Bill Cosby, yet find nothing wrong when a rapper sells that garbage to the world, and indirectly lable it as black culture. 4.We don't give our kids direction and motivate them towards higher education, spend less money on educational tools, than we do on cars, clothes, jewelery. 5. If an inner city school would put emphasize on actually teaching and giving discipline to kids, rather than socializing and not doing a thing, our kids would improve academically, socially. We give black kids no direction, and then when the system/state lable them as ADD, ADHD, we gladly medicate the kids. Black folks are a joke. And my former highschool English Literature teacher said that the only reason why Majic was allowed the opportunity to build his BHills Magic Theatre was because it keeps black folks from going to the white neighborhoods. I didnt vote for Obama and nobody should be offended or ashamed because of that fact. I made a choice and voted. That's all that should matter. I'm going to say something that is really unpopular too. There are no real qualifications for President. Outside of your age and nationality...anybody can be president IN THEORY. I mean really...what qualifications did Reagan have? Being president is a popularity contest. Its part supervisor part cheerleader. It is now officially Obama's job to keep you happy so that you vote his party into offices of government. If he succeeds...his success rubs off on his party. Four to Eight years from now he will break ground on his presidential library and join the circuit getting paid thousands of dollars to speak and writing bestsellers about his presidency and world affairs. Its everything that your parents told you going to college would do for you. NEWSFLASH: Barack Obama won an basically uncontested race. Polished Black Male wins over Tarnished White Female and Grumpy White Male. There has never been a better time for him to run. I could not imagine him running against George Bush circa 1999. That would have been a good race. As for Raquels comments about him being a one and only....contrary to what several posters have said that has nothing to do with racism in this country and since Obama obviously thought he could be president lets also not say nobody thought it could happen. There are numerous books on what it takes to get elected...and the number one ingredient is luck. Sometimes the stars align with you....sometimes a reporter catches you being human and you never recover. Magic has a good point. Having a black president means...people are going to want to know the impact that his presidency has on his race. They are going to track black industry over the next several years. The media is going to follow the numbers of blacks in politics. They are going to see what new and fresh voices emerge. You know, I am always amazed at the amount of buying power that blacks have...which by capitalist standards should mean that we are a force to be reckoned with ala the great wall that is China...and yet we constantly victimize ourselves and are offended by the fact that we are a somewhat stagnate minority of the total US population. Apparently all that means though is we buy more tennis shoes and hoodies. Sigh Btw, if you had good credit, a sound business plan and still couldn't loan because you thought racism was involved. There are plenty of programs out there for black entrepreneurs...you just have to look and network. Success is a phone call away.
