I guess he has to say that or Jay Z will remove him from the crack in his ass…and based on that comment…Ye has his lips all up in there. I like Kanye…but dang when he says dumb stuff like this…I have to raise an eyebrow…Tina/Diana even Whitney (pre crack days) has Beyonce beat…I doubt Bey will still be rockin it like Tina when she is in her late 60s. Pulease Kanye…What next? something stupid like…you would make a better prez than Obama. SMDH

Kanye West is a good artist, and he does not have to suck up. However, he does suck up to Jay-Z by writing a song about his idol (“Big Brother”) and talking about his wife being a legend on interviews. He has a lot to gain by being one of Jay-Z’s best friends. Beyonce is also a good artist. Beyonce has also expressed wanting to be a legend just like Barbra Streisand on Ophra. I just want some of my favorite artist to make good music and not stress over being a legend. You do not need to attack people to prove a point. Just express your viewpoint and bounce. When people call other people haters, it tells me that they cannot handle opposing viewpoints. I hate to hurt your feelings, but not everybody thinks like you. Please, do not take people’s post so seriously. We are just discussing Kanye’s comment. People have different ideas on what makes a legend. For you, a legend is anyone with many hits. Based on your definition Beyonce is a legend. You know my definition of a legend from my previous post. I want to inform you that “hating” is when you wish evil on others. I hate to burst your bubble, but I was not hating. I was just expressing my opinion. I mention in my previous post that both artists make good music. I am not jealous of Beyonce. Being able to sing and have lots of money does not make you better than someone else, so I have no reason to be jealous of Beyonce. I am proud of her for being a successful BLACK WOMEN. Peace!

why is Kayne West so angry about this Beyonce stuff anyway, with that comment it only makes him look st*pid and he’s only destroying Beyonce’s reputation with that comment that’s the only thing he’s doing, so if he’s trying to suck up on JayZ what he’s doing is in the reverse mode and I think JZ should shut Kayne’s mouth before something bad pops out

Okay normally I would stay out of an argument like this…but the haters are just too thick on the ground. First of all, this is Kanye’s opinion NOT Beyonce’s and he is entitled to it. He doesn’t have to suck up to Jay-Z, he’s an artist in his own right. There isn’t a label out there that wouldn’t take him. Next, what is a legend? Is being in an abusive/drug-filled relationship (eg Tina/Mary J) the measure of whether or not you’re music is worthwhile? you have legendary status? Are you so full of hate that you can’t recognize what Beyonce has accomplished in such a short period of time? Are you going to discredit her by saying that she’s not the greatest ever because you think people sing better? Real talk, not every talented athlete makes it in professional sports. The world is full of great men and women who aren’t making millions of dollars a year. I think she sounds awesome. Besides, being great isn’t about doing a little bit with your big talent, its about accomplishing great things with what you have. Don’t get it twisted…Beyonce is a hard working woman. She has the kind of brand/name recognition that it took her predecessors a lifetime to achieve. How many of those legends that you are comparing her to are on a Forbes list? None. By the way for the poster who said Single Ladies/Cater to You wasn’t legend material…when was the last time you listened to Tina or Aretha’s discography? Steamy Windows? Private Dancer? Who’s Zoomin Who? Just Right Tonight? A Deeper Love? It ain’t all Whats love got to do with it and RESPECT. I will say that most of Aretha’s is quality compared to Tina’s suspect list….which is very dated…I don’t expect to see it outside of VH1 Classic or those greatest hits infomercials at 4am. I’m not hating on Tina…I’m just saying that while you are defending her ability to get back up off the floor and change her wig…she is very much a niche artist. As for B’s acting skills…short of her cutting all her hair off and playing a transsexual she probably won’t be getting an Oscar any time soon…but I think she’s a decent actress and until I see her only getting straight to video work…its apparent (at least to me) that Hollywood thinks she’s viable. I don’t know how many of you are familiar with Elvis’ movies but he basically played the same character over and over again and you don’t have any problem with people calling him a legend. Beyonce is still at the beginning of her career…the only direction to go is up. So yeah she’s a legend already…you just haven’t realized yet.

Bey is good in her own right – she’s not the best – Aretha, Gladys, Patti, Diana (as much as I hate to admit it), Ella, Nina, Tina – those are LEGENDS! Maybe he meant she’s on a ledge end…like jumpin’ for food, fame, whatever…ninja please! Does anyone want to see her at 65 shakin’ her monkey on stage with those fire engine red lips and 37 pounds of borrowed hair? I think we need to hear from all those bald headed Asian and Spanish chicks who donate on the daily for her hairdom…

I have a feeling beyonce lurks too, after solange types in the web address for her…tina’s( turner, not knowles) story was a full length movie, beyonce’s life story would take all of thirty three minutes and six seconds to tell from birth to the present. now if that’s what legends are made of, shoot me now! she’s a legend in her own mind, o wait she shares that space with sasha, so they both think they are legends.

Beyonce is a good performer and artist. You will not know if someone is a legend until the next generation. IMO We have to see how her music influences other artists, and if she creates songs people want to listen to decades after the hits are made. Kanye is entitled to make his opinion about him and beyonce being a legend. He can shout it to the rooftop if he wants to, but it will not change my opinion. I think he is telling everybody he and Beyonce are legend, so everybody will start calling him and beyonce living legends. In addition, he is probably getting special treatment from Jay-Z by always talking about his wife, which is so sad (have to be close friends “Big Brother”). Kanye will not be Kanye without putting his foot in his mouth LOL. I get tired of hearing Kanye and Beyonce talking about becoming legends like Barbra Streisand and The Beatles. I was embarrassed for him when he spoke about being a legend when accepting his award at The American Music Awards. I just want them to continue making good music. Legends do not talk about being legends. Legends make good music, and the people who enjoy listening to their music call them legends. I think Beyonce is on her way to becoming a legend. However, only time will tell if Beyonce becomes a legend.
