Our favorite actor, Taye Diggs, made an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show today and discusses many things including he and his wife Idina Menzel moving to LA, their pets, and his new show Private Practice which is a spin off from Grey’s Anatomy. When Ellen asks if he will get a McSomething nickname on the show, Taye’s response was:
“I think they’re trying to steer away from all of those nicknames to try and give us our own style,” replied Diggs. “I always thought if they did go in that direction I could be McChocolatey.”

Some of you should be ashamed with the hate you put out there. You know what I think the problem is with that picture? His wife needs some weight on her. She lost whatever weight she had for the movie then got all worried about gaining it back. They fell in love working together 8 shows a week on Broadway over 10 years ago(she was never big, but she wasn’t that damn skinny) and have been together ever since. Now, I would give them props for staying together, but the pictures of Taye out with other females,,,disgusting.
I think Idina is gorgeous. She has very strong features that look harsh if captured at the wrong angle. I meet her a few times outside of Wicked and she was adorable and kind. It is such a shame people hate on her for marrying the man she had stuck with for 7 freaking years before the he finally proposed. Idina and Taye were together when both of their careers were nothing. I think that is amazing.
Sure Taye is a bit of a tool. I will never understand his logic about the end of Day Break, but he is great friends with Tracie Thoms, Sanaa Latham, and Tony Pinkins — 3 women who I don’t think would stand for a black man hating on black women.
