Yay must have gotten hit pretty hard with that coin a concertgoer, literally, got out of pocket with. He goes into a short rant about who ever did it, and the funny thing is that it’s all in autotune…and on beat. LOL

That IS autotune Kanye is using. Lil Wayne / Tpain use it as well. It’s used on its most extreme settings to achieve that effect. It’s similar to a traditional vocoder but it’s not one.
Traditional vocoder is like the Beastie Boys used in “intergalactic”, or like what Daft Punk uses. Traditional vocoders blend a synthesizer signal with a voice signal.
Autotune doesn’t blend the voice signal with anything, it just corrects the pitch.
FYI, the machine Cher used was called a digitech talker. Roger and zapp used a talkbox.
