Now I think you’re living in a fairy tale. These days, there are a number of men and women who are divorced with children, particularly over a certain age. And I know that plenty of them date and have not written off marriage with a suitable partner.
My cousin, a doctor, married a divorced man with children. They’re very happy, and she recently gave birth to their second child.

Whether a man does or does not have custody of his children, he still has a financial responsibility to his offspring, so, yes, he indeed still has “strings attached” as well as the mother of his children still being present in his life, as far as parenting issues are concerned.

You keep adding on these variable that dont really change the eqaution. I am not talking about inter-racial dating. I am talking about the desireability of a woman who is divorced and or with children. They are less disireable than women who doesnt have those things, Across the board. Men are territorial, women less so.
Personaly, men with children are in a different situation than women with children. I’ve already stated women are more liketly to get custody. If I can recollect, I had a dispute with a white chick about black on black relationships months ago, and she had the audacity to tell me that she disagreed with my post, and of course I retorted. I believe she misunderstood my comments anyway. But, I can definitely fathom your conclusion formed. With you being an Arab, you can use your background and interject your own viewpoint into the subject at hand. If the topic is about race relations in America, compare and contrast your life (stereotypes) with that of a Black American. True, it could result in half-witted, insensate, jejune behavior, but I guarantee, at least ’some’ individuals will *****imilate your beliefs.
Just make sure you thoroughly read the comments if you decide to parti*****te.

Don’t get it twisted…..I don’t have any issues with the ready made..the pre cut ones or the ones that come in that tubular shape. I can work with either. When I get the ones that come in the tube only about half of it actually makes it to the oven……I’ve got this thing for chocolate chip cookie dough. Now I have to decide as to what level of disclosure I’m willing to involve myself in on a public blog site….intimate details are usually reserved for intimate moments. Actually, forcing myself to hold my “guilts” up for personal observation makes me feel kind of cheated……I need to explore my inner freak more often. Life has become too mundane. @ Film… me and my fam personally just had the racial slurs directed towards us… i remember i was in college at the time and some1 basically said that i didnt have a right to speak… the city actually had a bunch of cops protecting the Mosque in our community… I was pretty scared for my mom and other women in my family bc they do wear the head scarves and i was worried some1 would do something crazy to them.. Thank God nothin too bad happened to us… but i remember other Arab students being attacked and an Arab shopkeeper killed the day of the attacks.

LOL. Ironically I was recently talking to a friend (he’s studying Arabic) and he was explaining to me how Arabic doesn’t translate well into English and vise versa. It led to this whole discussion about how the difference in communicating, reading (right to left as opposed to left to right), etc. can lead to someone having a whole different thought pattern…..I don’t know – we were high and our thoughts were pretty obscure but I think you may get the basic idea. Anyway, don’t thank me. Thank the truth because that is exactly what that was. I was just repeating it.

OBVIOUSLY.. The first Solange blogs had honest comments then all of a sudden “shes cute” & “her album was good” & certain people are taking up for her??? Do yall think we are stupid or something?! Ok I am so late, not sure if anyone will read this but this conversation on the page is crazy, mature, and bias. I am a single black women with no kids and as I read these messages both men and women are out of wack with their moral and values they should have for there lives. I will be 30 in a couple of months and I am in not rush to have children because people are taught to do more harm then they will choose to do good in someone’s lives. Even with all the time that I have taken to make better choices and have further education I can still become a statistic to this problem because the average black man is trifling and now days the average black women has not standards. I still have faith and hope that I will out bet this ditch that we have created for ourselves (black people/ the human race). I don’t think it nothing wrong with single mothers because that is the world that we live in but if you already see that you are not ready with the one child that you do have then please close you legs and take your time because when you rush you end up with the loser as the other parent.
