My cousin, a doctor, married a divorced man with children. They’re very happy, and she recently gave birth to their second child.

My greatest fears is that black females dont feel like they make mistakes. When was the last time you heard a black female say, “Opps my bad!” Blacks females think they are perfect and are above criticism. Thats the biggest problems. Then they expect everyone to be of the opinion that they dont make mistakes.

This is how this whole debate got started. A bunch of black females in here telling brothers that they didnt make a mistake by being a single mother and these black men must want them in spite of that. A few brothers in here told them they werent interested and they went buck wild.

There is a lot of unnecessary name calling and some get more personal than others but the subject matter is usually interesting. You just ran across an adolescent. The cyber beefs on this site are comical. There was a poster on here not too long ago (I can’t remember her name but she posted a picture of a breast for her gravie one time) that revealed herself to be about 4 or 5 different screennames and said she was researching the “blog world”. I don’t know if she was being honest about her intent but her analogy about this site being a microcosm of society was on point. Exactly! Ms Julips. That was her (or whoever). She was kinda stank with it but the way that whole thing unfolded was like a soap opera….provided me with some decent entertainment. If I can recollect, I had a dispute with a white chick about black on black relationships months ago, and she had the audacity to tell me that she disagreed with my post, and of course I retorted. I believe she misunderstood my comments anyway. But, I can definitely fathom your conclusion formed. With you being an Arab, you can use your background and interject your own viewpoint into the subject at hand. If the topic is about race relations in America, compare and contrast your life (stereotypes) with that of a Black American. True, it could result in half-witted, insensate, jejune behavior, but I guarantee, at least ‘some’ individuals will assimilate your beliefs.

Just make sure you thoroughly read the comments if you decide to participate.

Don’t get it twisted…..I don’t have any issues with the ready made..the pre cut ones or the ones that come in that tubular shape. I can work with either. When I get the ones that come in the tube only about half of it actually makes it to the oven……I’ve got this thing for chocolate chip cookie dough. Now I have to decide as to what level of disclosure I’m willing to involve myself in on a public blog site….intimate details are usually reserved for intimate moments. Actually, forcing myself to hold my “guilts” up for personal observation makes me feel kind of cheated……I need to explore my inner freak more often. Life has become too mundane. @ Film… me and my fam personally just had the racial slurs directed towards us… i remember i was in college at the time and some1 basically said that i didnt have a right to speak… the city actually had a bunch of cops protecting the Mosque in our community… I was pretty scared for my mom and other women in my family bc they do wear the head scarves and i was worried some1 would do something crazy to them.. Thank God nothin too bad happened to us… but i remember other Arab students being attacked and an Arab shopkeeper killed the day of the attacks.

Truth – I asked the quesion as I do periodically, but since you did not answer after a few posts, I let it go. It just wasn’t that important to me. However, in this case I was only inquiring about how late it is. It is almost 11pm, so if it is snowing there it must be about 2am. Just thought it was kinda late.

It is necessary to be careful about revealing info on a blog. Last night I mentioned the area that I lived in Oakland and a poster named Oakland knew the area too well. After some second thought, I kind of regretted pin pointing my exact location. There is safty in anonynimity.

They got caught up in the media blitz against anything that was Arab when they should have been pointing fingers at the US government, the UN…..you get the idea. I remember when all the major news channels showed people in Palestine supposedly “celebrating” the collapse of the towers but it was later revealed that it was file footage of people celebrating a soccer victory. I never did see one news show disclaim the footage (smh). This is the type of propoganda that floods our airwaves and causes even usually rational people to act with stupidity. They are being programmed to do it and most people don’t have posession of their own souls to do anything about it. Media says “think this way” and because of this your mother can’t even go food shopping without being harassed. Damn shame.

It’s good to know that your mom and others were unharmed. Some associate Bin Laden with every Arab here in this country. They need to research and form their own opinions based on why there were numerous, unanswered questions by the government from the 9/11 Commission Report, and not just hearsay (media). SMH. LOL. Ironically I was recently talking to a friend (he’s studying Arabic) and he was explaining to me how Arabic doesn’t translate well into English and vise versa. It led to this whole discussion about how the difference in communicating, reading (right to left as opposed to left to right), etc. can lead to someone having a whole different thought pattern…..I don’t know – we were high and our thoughts were pretty obscure but I think you may get the basic idea. Anyway, don’t thank me. Thank the truth because that is exactly what that was. I was just repeating it.

Yeah, I’ve been to Chicago but not in the last few years and only once in the winter (hell no, I learned my lesson!). It is a nice city. I wouldn’t mind living there. Actually I want out of Jersey so any place but here.

Ok I am so late, not sure if anyone will read this but this conversation on the page is crazy, mature, and bias. I am a single black women with no kids and as I read these messages both men and women are out of wack with their moral and values they should have for there lives. I will be 30 in a couple of months and I am in not rush to have children because people are taught to do more harm then they will choose to do good in someone’s lives. Even with all the time that I have taken to make better choices and have further education I can still become a statistic to this problem because the average black man is trifling and now days the average black women has not standards. I still have faith and hope that I will out bet this ditch that we have created for ourselves (black people/ the human race). I don’t think it nothing wrong with single mothers because that is the world that we live in but if you already see that you are not ready with the one child that you do have then please close you legs and take your time because when you rush you end up with the loser as the other parent.
