TYRA filled a void in tv talk shows, there wasn’t a show (without videos) tha catered 2 tha youth & adults of all races i love it! i watch it like 106 n park back in tha day, religiously!

Who said anything about her being royalty ? LMAO. But I do agree with you , the dang store was closing , and she needs to understand that in Paris she is common . The dang empress of Iran lives in Paris , Hell she’s worth billions on top of billion from her husband the shah. So how could Oprah , who is just a regular person be given any special treatment. They are not racist, they just could care LESS OPRAH . Get over yourself ! you are not the wealthiest woman in the world , far from it ! . You might be the wealthist EMPLOYEE in the world , but noy the wealthiest woman, selfmde or not. And honestly she is not as “self-made” as you people think. SMDH at the delusional and mis informed . Regardless of what others think about them, I think that they are both good examples for black woman, if you look at either of their past backgrounds, neither one of them came from rich or very privileged families, so it is good for them to be viewed positively. Sometimes Tyra can be a little goofy but who is perfect! And her shows are informative and I don’t think that they perpetuate stereotypes at all, the only problem that I have with Oprah that she seems to have forgotten where she came from, Mississippi, and she barely even has black people in her audience.

oprah is absolutely no different than any other talk show host out there. the thing is she positioned herself as an expert and that’s how she was able to win the game. in other words, her marketing plan worked!

i just don’t see the big deal about making hundreds of millions of dollars by listening to other peoples’ insecurities and throwing money and cars at your audience.

all those charity stuff she’s done are all tax deductible.

and her school in south africa don’t impress me much either. this is merely an investment for her, as she will gain it all back, and more, by way of promotions, publicity, and more power and influence. so she opened a luxurious school for 152 “lucky” girls. the last thing we need is 152 mor oprahs.

and it’s funny how they always go to africa, when those damn kids in oakland and new york are dropping out of school in such an alarming rate. oprah, you don’t impress me.

Oprah isnt royal!Maybe in US but not in Europe trust me.So everyone needs to bow and open stores whenever she decides to shop?Please.They didnt even do that for the late princess Di and she was ROYALTY.And Oprah made a whole show bout that rumor,she wasent denied,they were closing!

tyra and oprah are nothing but capitlists. they make money and that’s it. i don’t buy into that ‘oprah is inspirational’ stuff.. so what? what’s the big deal? she makes tons of of money off the problems and issues of others, and?

i’m glad she was able to make it so far by herself, but she ain’t *****ody special. sorry.

i ain’t a big fan of praising black folk who are in entertainment. i prefer selfless people – black or white or whatever – who actually stand up for a cause, and oprah ain’t one of them.

(please refrain from bringing up that “she donates money” stuff, because that’s what rich people do.)

Natasha, I didn’t say anything about the root of the comments you made, only the comments proper. You insinuate that the success of Oprah and Tyra should not be given respect because they pander to White America and perpetuate negative stereotypes about Blacks. Just because they don’t champion the causes you would if you had similar status is irrelevant. Stop checking so hard for leaders and positive examples and make sure you can be one yourself.
