I’m suspicious of that story about him not liking black women because he thinks they have poor hygiene.

Why? Because 20 years ago, Charles Barley reportedly said the same thing to explain his preference for white women.

Since I know that black women aren’t less clean than any other group of women and never have been, I mark this up to urban myths. It sounds resonable so the story gets passed on.

Not to say that men like Barkley and Jeter don’t have a thing for white women ( and god bless ‘em if they do.) I’m just saying that I suspect the reason supposedly for their preferences, sounds like an urban myth.

Besides, Sisters should not let their self-esteem hinge on what a few color-struck atheletes find attractive.

They aren’t anybody.

Although I do agree that Mr. Jeter has had quite a dating past it has been over the course of 15 years. In the past year Gabby has been associated with like ten different men some of them married. Who should slow their role? Harper Hill, Jason Kidd, Duwayne Wade, Luda, Darren Sharper, Borris Kodjoe, Derek Jeter, Javon Walker,and it goes on and on and on….It seems that professionally she handles herself well while personally she lacks reservation.

Derek Jeter dates women of all races – we just know about the ones that were famous. He’s been seen around NYC with different women, but it never made the papers because they weren’t famous.

The two women he was really in love with was Jordana Brewster and Vanessa Minnillo. The relationship with Jordana ended because they just didn’t have time for each other. And the relationship with Vanessa ended because she wanted to be married and he’s just not ready. Also it didn’t help that Derek and Vanessa were on and off for like 3 years.
