First about myself, then what I’m looking for. For starters, I’m not looking for someone to love me. I love myself plenty. I understand that relationships are supposed to enhance your life, not make or break it. I’m looking for someone to love. When I think about an ideal relationship, most of my thoughts veer towards what I’d like to provide for the other person. Things I’d cook, restaurants I’d take her out to, theme parks we’d go to, impromptu road trips we’d take, favors I’d like to do. I really think the desire to provide for someone else is one of the major hallmarks of maturity, and it is one I look for in people I spend time with. And so by extension of that I guess I’m…looking for someone to love me? No, one ever said dating would make sense! Anyways, onward with my description. ————————————— The more you learn about yourself, the more you change as a direct result! It’s Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle meeting psychology. Being big on psychology, I don’t stay the same person for very long, but the following description has suited me well for the past couple of years: I’m a 5’11, 225 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal!I am black, I have Black hair, brown eyes. I’m usually reserved, reliable, skeptical, and hold a general disregard for authority. I like to live on my terms partly because I don’t like being controlled, but also because when I do something, I like to think it’s either right, courteous or makes sense, not because it’s what’s popular or something someone talked me into. With having said that, I usually prefer a few close friends as opposed to a mob. I’m really geared towards the arts. When you plug that variable into the rest of my description, you have somewhat of romantic. which means I take my nonsense and stupidity very seriously! I would have to say my sense of humor is more fleshed out than most peoples. I’ll laugh at almost anything. Most people think this is great until they see that I actually mean it, and then you’re quietly labeled as being a jerk! (To be fair, I even laugh at myself when things seem to be going straight to hell) It’s like George Bernard Shaw once said “Life is no less funny when someone dies than it is less serious when someone laughs”. Occasionally, people mistake me for a Cock-eyed optimist when the truth of the matter is that I’ve managed to turn the philosophy of cynicism inside out so that it works for me, rather than against me. It’s a complicated system with many checks and balances that need to be modified routinely. I am employed, have a car, pay my own rent, don’t live with my parents, I have a spine, am drug and disease free, I will drink, and as a bonus, I come with Karate chop action! I was in the Navy, and I love movies and books. I love a good story! I like doing things that make for good stories. I LOVE driving fast, mountains, fishing, Pulp Fiction, Highlander, wearing muscle shirts, big lakes on breezy days, Casablanca, Italian food (I know how to make my own Lasagne from scratch!), photography, Raymond Chandler’s character Phillip Marlowe, the movie Brick, various other things that fall into the noir genre, Catch-22 the book, and it’s main character Yossarian, The art of War by Sun Tzu, climbing the occasional tree, late night walks, Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks romantic comedies, 300,book signing conventions, art conventions, awkward moments with my friends, women, the color black, creative insults, blowing out my speakers with songs that were never meant to blow out anything, Robot Chicken, The Time Traveler’s Wife, feather comforters, comfortable couches, and much much more! I approach life as though it were a rock and roll song sometimes. The day may be little on concept, but I’m usually high on energy! If you take a poll amongst those closest to me, they will all tell you they can’t remember the last time I was in a bad mood. I stay drama free, and I don’t suspect that’s ever going to change, if I can help it.
Who I’d like to meet:
My ideal girl has: A seriously tweaked sense of humor, but tact! A lack of inhibitions, but a good amount of discipline. An artistic streak, and a healthy respect for her body. I’d like to meet someone I can ride down down to the Florida Keys with at the drop of a hat, all while blasting the stereo! I love talking about ideas, possibilities, stories, and everything else. I’m not sensitive about political or religious beliefs, and I’ve never been sure why anyone else is either. Like me, she doesn’t see things in shades of good or bad, but in different shades of interesting and dull. Save for heartbreak and physical pain…those things generally suck! She knows that the only way to fully know someone else is to exert your personality full tilt and watch them react! She also has character. She does what’s right for her man simply because it’s the right thing to do! She does the right thing regardless of whether she likes the person in front of her, regardless of what the people surrounding her are telling her, and regardless of how hard it is. She is as honest and blunt as the ocean is wet, and she knows that the truth is infinitely more fascinating and helpful than what sounds smooth, or proper. She’s self reliant, pays her own rent, has her own car, and no one has control over her life excep her! She’s fearless, and loves adventure! She doesn’t quake in her boots over what other people might think about her when a fun idea pops up. She is 23 years of age or older. And hopefully she’s reading this post. Def Jam Records Executive Vice President Shakir Stewart, 34, who replaced Jay-Z’s vacancy at the label, was found dead in Atlanta on Saturday afternoon from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to sources.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports, Stewart’s body was found in the bathroom of his home around 4PM on Saturday. He was later taken to Kenne Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

I changed up to the black in the 90s and am now eyeing the burnt orange that is on the shelves this season. Don’t hike and camp as much but they are stylish & comfortable.. The NIke support is great and I’ll put in a good word for them too. Some looks transend time and work boots are one. These brothers are older and could refine their look.
