Pat Buchanan Calls President Obama A ‘Drug Dealer Of Welfare’
Motor-mouth political pundit Pat Buchanan is at it again.
In his latest dose of ratchet republican rhetoric, he’s joining the likes of his GOP counterparts in asserting the belief that President Obama enables welfare recipients to remain in the system for the long haul.
The Grio reports:
Buchanan labeled Obama a “Fabian Socialist” because he believes the president is rying to change the American structure gradually through dependence on the government as a means of maintaining power, while likening welfare to a narcotic. He said, “government relief was viewed as a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit.” He continued, “If it is narcotic, then in my judgment, Barack Obama is a drug dealer of welfare.”
As if that wasn’t enough, he then goes on to compare the demographics of Washington DC residents during the Great Depression era and those living there now…….almost 80 years later.
Buchanan, who made these comments during his appearance yesterday on Fox News’ On The Record with Greta Van Susteren, drew a comparison between Americans born during the Great Depression in Washington D.C and those living there now.
“Of the 800,000 born in the ‘30s and raised in the ‘50s, nobody in D.C. was on food stamps, however, of the 600,000 living in D.C. now, one in five live off food stamps,” said Buchanan.
These guys couldn’t be more out of touch if they tried.
