A rock legend is stepping up to defend Mariah Carey in her beef against fellow “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj. But we’re not sure she’s making matters any better. Stevie Nicks has stepped up to speak her piece on the beef and she says if she was Mariah, Nicki might not even be breathing.
According to CBS Local reports:
In a recent interview with The Daily, Stevie Nicks was discussing Nicki Minaj’s recent well-documented clash with fellow Idol judge Mariah Carey, and said, “How dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there.”
She continued, “I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it.”
Sounds a bit extreme to us, but wasn’t Stevie Nicks supposed to be a witch or something? Yeah, we’re pretty sure Nicki doesn’t want it with her.
All the same, does Stevie deserve a Ho Sit Down for these comments?
*Update: Stevie is now apologetic for saying she’d choke a beyotch out:
“I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj’s behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews,” the 64-year-old said in writing to the Daily News.
“It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking.
“I think all artist should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry.”
