This is TI on one of the new covers for Rap-Up Magazine hitting in Jan. Lately, TI has been thinking about the way his jail sentence will affect his boys:
Rapper T.I. is worried about the affect his impending prison spell will have on his young sons – but is sure that his elder daughter will help them through the ordeal. The Whatever You Like hit-maker, real name Clifford Harris Jr., is facing a one year prison sentence in March after pleading guilty to illegal possession of three machine guns and two silencers following his 2007 arrest. And the rapper is already wondering how his children – three daughters and two sons – will cope when he is serving his time in jail. He says, “My oldest is 12 – she understands. She’s strong and smart. The three weeks I was in, before I got to come home, she said to me, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll hold things down ’til you get back.’”
“I’m more worried about how my boys are going to deal.”
We hope this message that Clifford wants to relay to his children can be relayed to all the kids out there with no fathers that look up to the TI, for his music or movies. Black people have had to deal with that thug message for quite a while and it’s good to see TI leading the charge for an anti-thug message.
