Check out these fly ladies, Patti LaBelle, Sarah Dash, and Nona Hendryx of Labelle performing at the Apollo Theater in NY last night. These ladies are getting up in age, but from the looks of those legs, they aren’t quite ready to throw the towel in on their ‘sexy‘ just yet. Can’t say we blame ‘em either.

I cosign with everyone that said this here is real talent. They’ve lasted in this industry without all the bells and whistles. I think the person that said Rhianna has talent was surely being tongue and cheek. Anyway, I’d rather hear Patti “holler” than the crap that’s put out today. She and Labelle have lasted in the business for decades and can probably still pack out a venue, so holler all you want Patti.
I’m sorry, but there are certain things that should remain dead and buried in the past…LaBelle is one of them.

I Was There Last Night And When Labelle Came Out The Roar, The Shouts And The Screams Almost Left Me Deaf. I Almost Lost My Own Voice. Unfortunately There Was A Problem With The Sound System And The Apollo Couldn’t Get It Working Again, So These Bad B*****s Came Out With A Choir And Some Drummers And Sang Accappello And The Crowd Went Wild. We Are Lucky That They Are Going To Honor Our Tickets Tonight And They Are Going To Return To Put On Their Show. Oh,I Forgot To Mention That The Apollo Offered Everyone FREE Drinks For Their Inconvenience. What An Experience. Can’t Wait Until Tonight.

For those who think they looked like withces, you are obviously too young to remember the Labelle experience. That’s what they do and the audience loved it. I went back again last night and these bad b*****s tore the Apollo up. Patti was suffering from low blood sugar and at times had to sit down but she still sang her heart out. Once her blood sugar came back up she said “I”m ready now” and they went to work. I was proud to witness this reunion and the audience gave them a standing ovation after every song. I can’t think of another group that could have pulled that off and Labelle is 64, 64 and 63 years old and they still got it.

It is sad when our new generation has little or no respect for L E G E N D S. But that is our mistake they do not know a room with cl***** from a cl*****room. And if they do not know the difference between Alec Baldwin and James Baldwin. Okay somebody did not show them how to cook without a microwave.We all were not born knowing these things. When you learn then you can crtique. So first of all know the difference between a Entertainer. a Singer and an Artist.

comes in categories that can also blend from amazing entertainers and Amazing vocals not really needing extra b.s. to perform or look awesome in the studio or on stage they can carry with their voice if need be

C: artist
Have amazing abilities usually can play an instrument or write amazing songs and can really sing AND entertain
Alicia Keys Chaka Khan Aretha Beyonce Mariah
They all have written good somgs have a range of voice can hit a note and can entertain without b.s
Listen some singers and artist are very amazing in their own right they know their material and can sing any category like Patti Chaka Whitney Mariah Beyonce Jennifer Hudson their voices blow you away they do not need extra echo chambers vocoders
layered voices on top of their own to enhance like Janet Rhianna Madonna who need background people in the studio and on stage and usually may have only one song that doesn’t and that is about it.
