ion for Quality.I to did know the difference between hamburger and steak til I tried it(“Get you somebody new”)It’s ok with me if you like”music that has nothing to say except that you gonna beat b with a bat, but(“Come with me if you believe”)that there is always room REAL TALENT.(“Who’s watching the watcher”)apprently no one if the powers that be allow garbage “ella ella”to saturate the air ways giving our childern the impression that it’s Quality,as oppose to leaving it in it’s rightful place(a pretty catchy tune that will be forgotten 30 years from now).(“going down make me shiver”)when i think of the fact our childern have been fooled into thinking that it’s ok to disrespect 40+ years of hard work and GREAT MUSIC!”(Come into my life”)On Jan.10 I’ll travel to Chicago(from cols,ohio thank you maceo)to experience the awsome magic that is LaBelle!!!

It is sad when our new generation has little or no respect for L E G E N D S. But that is our mistake they do not know a room with cl***** from a cl*****room. And if they do not know the difference between Alec Baldwin and James Baldwin. Okay somebody did not show them how to cook without a microwave.We all were not born knowing these things. When you learn then you can crtique. So first of all know the difference between a Entertainer. a Singer and an Artist.
A: entertainers
Rhianna Janet Josephine Baker
They are not really singers per se but give a good show. Usually need additional dancers smoke and mirrors
B: singers
comes in categories that can also blend from amazing entertainers and Amazing vocals not really needing extra b.s. to perform or look awesome in the studio or on stage they can carry with their voice if need be
Toni Braxton Fantasia Whitney Patti
C: artist
Have amazing abilities usually can play an instrument or write amazing songs and can really sing AND entertain
Alicia Keys Chaka Khan Aretha Beyonce Mariah
They all have written good somgs have a range of voice can hit a note and can entertain without b.s
Listen some singers and artist are very amazing in their own right they know their material and can sing any category like Patti Chaka Whitney Mariah Beyonce Jennifer Hudson their voices blow you away they do not need extra echo chambers vocoders
layered voices on top of their own to enhance like Janet Rhianna Madonna who need background people in the studio and on stage and usually may have only one song that doesn’t and that is about it.

For those who think they looked like withces, you are obviously too young to remember the Labelle experience. That’s what they do and the audience loved it. I went back again last night and these bad b*****s tore the Apollo up. Patti was suffering from low blood sugar and at times had to sit down but she still sang her heart out. Once her blood sugar came back up she said “I”m ready now” and they went to work. I was proud to witness this reunion and the audience gave them a standing ovation after every song. I can’t think of another group that could have pulled that off and Labelle is 64, 64 and 63 years old and they still got it.
