Montel Williams married his former-flight attendant girlfriend over the weekend. Montel’s last marriage was to a stripper who dropped his ass after finding out he has MS. SMH, this one will probably wait a little bit before she bounces, she needs time to get her stacks up.

  • whatitis

Montel looks like the dude on the Pine sol bottle. Talk about shameless white woman chasing.

  • usmarine

lol at Pine Sol bottle man, but gold diggers and hoes come in all colors, it’s not only white women. It’s not chasing white women if that’s all he is around, how many black women are on his level financially or run in the same circles as him. Is he suppose to go to the closest hood and look for a black woman who aint on his level

  • smartypants

His circles? He met this chick on a plane serving him coke or sprite. And the other chick was working a pole.

But hey, maybe this chick was working first class, and the other chick was working VIP.

  • FreqFlier

This chick is a nice girl, but she wanted to marry a rich guy. Who could blame her. She met him on the plane, and continued to fly while they dated for several years. She is gorgeous, very down to earth and humble. I did not realize she had quit, so she should be taken care of by her husband. I wish her the best. Montel is a handful I am sure.

  • dcfun

…exactly…all brothas care about are looks…shallow and ignorant.

  • smartie

Grace didn’t leave him when he was diagnosed. He was cheating and so was Grace; with the handyman at the house up in CT. Right Grace ?

  • Ilish

“how many black women are on his level financially or run in the same circles as him. Is he suppose to go to the closest hood and look for a black woman who aint on his level”

    @usmarine

All of the Marines I’ve met have been really smart. Please change your moniker so you don’t speak on their behalf.

  • http://whoseamerica.blogspot.com/ daria

Well, in terms of class, he’s upgraded. Stewardesses aren’t doing anything shameful. Strippers are taking off their clothes for strangers.

  • Sydney

U.S. Marine, you really should crack open books more often. I think Oprah should marry white since there are so few educated, professional black men with clean records. See, the ignorance can go both ways!

  • Sammi

“It’s not chasing white women if that’s all he is around, how many black women are on his level financially or run in the same circles as him. Is he suppose to go to the closest hood and look for a black woman who aint on his level” US MARINE You sound stupid…like Black women only reside in the hood! Give me a break….I hope you r white and not another ignorant Black Person!

    Okay….um

  • BronxBrawler

@Sammi his last white wife was a stripper

  • Akasha1

    UM law school? WOW.

    there, not their

    surrounded, not sorrounded

    y’all, not ya’ll

  • Sydney

U.S. Marine, you’re in law school? Lord help the legal profession. I went. to any Ivy League school myself, and judging you by your comment and epithets, youre very ignorant.Go back to the books.

  • Homboy from outta space

    @ Sydney

“I went. to any Ivy League school myself”

Twould appear that your education is lacking also.

Tea kettle calling the skillet black much?

  • Sydney

And my point, US Marine, is not the race of Montels wife, its your ignorant statement regarding the circles in which black women travel. I could care less who he marries, but you should have at least known her background before you made such an inflammatory statement about black women. And if you’re going to call women names then you really need to work on your debate skills as well. Thats shameful.

  • Sydney

    *AN Ivy League* Sorry

  • Oreo Cookie Willie

I think Montell prefers white women because they just happen to taste better when you go down on them. Most sistas, because of their unhealthy diets are just unpalatable. A coochie should be an epicurean delight, not three day old sushi takeout.

  • Fit-n-Fab

    Too damn funny…

A black man marries a black girl = pole dancer

A black man marries a white girl = stripper

A black man marries a black girl = babysitter

A black man marries a white girl = nanny

    etc., etc., etc.,

I just can’t believe that show is still on.

  • Sydney

Homboy, twould seem like you like ebonics :)

  • Ilish

No, it’s not really about being stuck on race, USMarine. It’s about your generalizing. Like I said, if I hadn’t met so many smart marines, I might be inclined to believe that all marines are dumb based on what you wrote. Your implying that Montel would have to go to the hood to find black women, who wouldn’t be “on his level” anyway, implying that he just had to marry a white stripper, then a flight attendant, rather than someone black, was off the wall. Apparently in your mind, only black women are capable of being blue collar or uneducated, or poor, or what have you, like there are no low rent white people. What year are you, first? Have you had any semantics training? You’ll never succeed in law being this sloppy with language.

  • Homboy from outta space

Sydney “Twould” origins is more Shakespearean.

  • Sydney

Homboy, I studied Shakespeare in college. I was referring to your moniker.

  • Ilish

“I think Montell prefers white women because they just happen to taste better when you go down on them. Most sistas, because of their unhealthy diets are just unpalatable. A coochie should be an epicurean delight, not three day old sushi takeout.”

    @OreoCookieWillie

    (Assuming that you’re black)

More and more these days, I find it that much harder not to negatively stereotype all black men. I wonder how much longer my good logic is going to prevail?

  • Sydney

Homboy, and isnt origins plural? So the correct usage is “origins ARE,” not is.

  • Homboy from outta space

    Ooops! My bad.

  • Sydney

    LOL

Ilish, I agree, which is why I threw in that incendiary comment about brothers, which obviously rankled US Marine. How ironic. There are more black men in college than in prison, and there are plenty of successful sisters, and stats bear that out. Stereotyping each other is divisive, unfounded, and counter-productive.

  • Oreo Cookie Willie

lIish, you shouldn’t let my passion for white women influence you to think negatively about black men in general. We’re all individuals…Afterall, I did not say “all” sistas, just most. I would never cast a myopic net over a whole ethnic gender. It would be illogical. Don’t you agree?

  • Sydney

Blaqpoet, I cant speak for other sisters, but Ive always been into “nerds,” love them. Ill take intelligence over brawn any day, so its not ALL black women who resemble the women youve met.

  • blaqpoet

    sydney,

i agree with you that was dumb from my part for generalizing. But believe me you are rather rare !!

  • Mrs. White Now

Ladies..forget these trifling YOU KNOW WHATS..come over to my side…there are a lot more men who would love to have you be their wives…they are good educated loving family men..and they want YOU.Don’t listen to what these nasty negative people say. They just want to keep you in a down place with them.

TO the ladies who are in the “hood.” Believe in yourselves. Get exercise, read books, love yourselves, respect and nourish and cherish your bodies, be loving towards your children, but try to wait until you are in a better position before you have them. Take advantage of any scholarships you can find. Make friends with people who are differnet races. Be a beautiful and PROUD Black woman everyday.

  • Ilish

    @blaqpoet

    Where do I begin?

1)Not all black women are into thugs and rapper wannabees. How would you like it if I said that I only date non-black men because they’re 100 times more likely to be employed, not incarcerated, and not likely to absentee fathers should I procreate with them?

2)Please come a little harder than that “oh black women called us nerdy” rap, like you and your friends were getting all kinds of play from non-black women, and you were turning all the non-black women away in favor of black women until after you’ve succeeded. Then all of sudden, after you came into money or whatever, it was then that you decided to give white/non black women a chance. OK, I’ve heard it too many times.

3)If you have a preference for white women, don’t use that tired excuse. Statistically speaking, black women are outpacing their male counterparts in attending college and getting degrees, so don’t try to play it off as if only white women can appreciate an intellectual brotha.

4)Do you really think it’s a coincidence that you’ve become so appealing to non-black women after you’ve come into success and money? If you’re any type of smart, you know that not to be the case. So why are you so bent on elevating white women as kind, understanding, unmaterialistic, and all of these other good adjectives and not black females? Those same non-black women that found you appealing only after success were probably among the women, black, white, or other that were rejecting you beforehand. So please, please, blaqpoet. tell it to someone who doesn’t know better.

  • Sydney

Blaqpoet, believe me, brother, there are other sisters with the same perspective. Ive been called “nerdy” myself :)

  • http://www.myspace.com/ocky_j Octavia

    @USMarine

I’m so glad Ilish already corrected your foolish statement. Did you even bother to read the damn post before you spewed your ignorance? Stripper, flight-attendant… yeah, I’m sure they run in high-class circles. Let’s not forget, before you start downing black women, that we are the fastest growing number of college graduates. That’s despite many of us coming from single parent homes or being single parents because we have more black men in prison than in college.

  • lucky

He’s one of the brotha’s that love anything but black women

  • blaqpoet

    to ilish

I’m half white and half black. I think part of the reaso black girls did not like me was the fact I looked too “white”.But in my heart i never find white girls quite attractive. I always wanted to associate with blacks, from friends to girlfriends, but… alas…

Yes I was getting a lot of play from the white girls. lol. It ‘s just the sister found me too white and too nerdy . hahaha.

  • SAMBA MAMA

    @ Black Poet..

I lived in Montreal Canada and black men there are for the dogs.

They have the same excuses as you.

    *Black women are loud

    *Black women are gold diggers

*Black women don’t take care of themselves

I don’t hear you guys praising the

Black women that are 5 to 1 in colleges

The Black women that are becoming executives, doctors, lawyers, etc in record numbers.

The way I see it we should be whining about the large number of gay black males, the large number of black males in prison, the dead beat dads, the absentee fathers, etc..

I think the real issue is that you guys want to be with white women and you make up these dumb excuses like they called me nerdy, as if white women don’t call nerdy white guys nerdy.

How about giving things a chance?

Many white men love black women, but I have yet to hear them BAD-MOUTHING white women.

I don’t hear white men that date black women whining about white women.

Like I said, you folks have issues.

  • BlackWomenJustDontListen

@3:51 u were making sense till you mentioned “upgrade”.

I am yet to understand why many people look at men from another race as an “upgrade” If black men aint *ish and half your DNA from a black man what are you saying about yourself? Just saying…

  • blaqpoet

1.) what changed my tune? I think my girl stood by me for long, after a while you start to see beauty in people.

2.) Yes, those quotes are from me. I did not say anything that go against what i said yesterday. like i said i witnessed some nonsense but u get an education for urself. TRUE. it’s not true for all women, I apologized for generalizing earlier.

3.) I do not have any political aspirations because i’m not interested.

4.) Watch your mouth, kid. U sounds angry to me, this is just a post, we discuss , we do not have to agree but at the end of the day we do not hate each other. We’re still the same people. so.. “bruh” tune the insults down a lil bit.

  • Ilish

    @blaqpoet

    what Chuch Jackson said.

I have yet to encounter a black female that wouldn’t date a black man because he was too light, but if you’ve had that encounter, I feel for you, I do.

  • VAN DON’T GO

So white women don’t like men like Ray Jay and Lil’Wayne?

Black women are doomed. They struggled from slavery through rape and hardship. Of the 8 students in Little Rock, Arkensas that walked through the all white school for the first time, 1 was male. The woman that first sat on the bus was a black female. We walked miles in Selma and many watched their boys and husbands hung in trees..

And I have to say I am ashamed of the ignorance of black males that I see on these boards and in general. I am truly ashamed! I guess I have to blame some black mothers for that too.

  • John

Montel just prefer white women. He’s a grown man, so thats his choice. I know that there are a lot of sister who are ‘ in his circle”. He just prefer white

  • blaqpoet

    ilish,

lol u do not have my pic, so u can’t judge. i wish i had a myspace. it wasn’t about the skin, it was more about the features. anyways, that was way back in 1990′s. well it was not only women, i had hard times making black male friends until med school. anyways i guess i was from a different background, i guess.

  • SAMBA MAMA

    @ BlackWomenJustDontListen

I used upgrade in response to someone else’s post. He was inferring that they were upgrading by dating white women.

Honey I would be so happy if black men would change their tune, but sadly as soon as these guys get some education and a decent job, they start seeing all sorts of wrong with black women.

In Montreal, a black female will stand a chance at getting a date on Black History month.

It is a sad state of affairs out there.

  • Kendall

one thing i’ve noticed while reading some of these comments is that a lot of these people dont like black women because of their own personal experiences..or maybe it was because they could never get a beautiful black woman…whatever it is, i would never blame the entire race for what some people do. after all, there are still more black women in college overall than black men and that is a FACT..look it up! i have a black girlfriend and not everyone is the same, at a certain age, most people mature. lets not forget how bad white & latino teens act..its not just one set of people! although i must say that black men do have a pretty high rate of incarceration.. so my point, every race has its flaws and i dont knock any race for stereotype them because there’s always people who are not the way they are perceived to be. ~ and i have never seen any group of people tear each other down as much as this, the black guys that are participating in it are even more pathetic and unworthy than they claim the women to be! y’all should be united not tearing each other down.

  • anonymous1

    Ahem.

This is her 1st marriage. She worked for American Airlines. i wish them all the happines. I do wonder if Montel is the first black male she has dated?

  • blaqpoet

    who is tom leykis?

i need to do research on that.

Ok i address this point earlier . What is the difference between what i said yesterday and today, I agree that today i generalize, but i later apologize for generalizing.

    “sydney,

i agree with you that was dumb from my part for generalizing. But believe me you are rather rare !!”

the fact is, i’m talking from my own experience when i was in college. It’s a fact, i did not make it up.

And there you go being condescending and all. I never disrespect you in my posts, so brother watch your mouth. disagreeing does not equal hating.

  • http://blackwiz.biz Tiray

    hahahahaha

tsk, ysk, tsk….I gotta ask. What is the average age of the people on this gossip/blog? 10?

Always venting,–no solutions.Whining ,whining, whining. What does that make you? LOSER’S!! hhahahha!

You’d all rather blame other’s for your not getting to people that you want! YEAH, PLEASE, CALL ME AN ASS. CALL ME THE STUPID ONE. PLEASE,PLEASE, USE ME AS THE SCAPEGOAT,AND CALL ME ALL THE NAMES. but if you spend your weekend making excuses for why black relationships DON’T work, your not all seeing that YOU ARE THE PROBLEMS. not the people that you can’t find.

    HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

    @Samba Mama

“The way I see it we should be whining about the large number of gay black males, the large number of black males in prison, the dead beat dads, the absentee fathers, etc..”

    ________________________________

Black gay men have not a damn thing to do with this intra-racial/intra-ethnic argument about ostensibly straight brothers dating and marrying nonblack women. If a man is exclusively homosexual, he’s not really not available to any woman, black, white or green.

And the prevalence of exclusively homosexual men in the black community is no larger than it is in any other ethnic community. Now closeted or so-called DL brothers is a separate issue, but they, too, are no more prevalent in the black community than anywhere else. I know it seems like they are when the pool of otherwise suitable and available black male mates has been compromised by other sociological factors aforementioned in this thread. But, apart from that, black men who are open and exclusively gay are not black women’s or any woman’ concern. That would be the case only if one considers exclusively gay black men to be suitable candidates for dating and marriage.

And keep in mind that homosexual sisters exist, too, and some of them are not exclusively lesbian. What ‘cha gonna do?

  • ole school

“not really available,” that should read.

  • Snuffy Tha’ Whitegirl Layer

    @ Ilish

Your kind praise warms the cockles of my soul fair Ilish. Not only are you wise and intuitive beyond your years, but chu’ sound (post) kinda’ fly:o)

  • http://edessedesigns.typepad.com dubya

Oh my god, this is quite crazy! Stop picking on grammar mistakes and slang people! It’s a gossip blog, nobody is here trying to write a dissertation.

Believe me, I’m currently at Yale getting my PhD in economics and I will be the first to tell you that

    1. I can’t punctuate to save my life

    2. I can’t spell to save my life

    3. I use slang

    4. I’m not the least bit bothered by Montel and his white wife.

Okay, US Marine made some generalization about black women but it in no way applies to me so instead of engaging in some petty (yes, equating superior intelligence to studying Shakespeare or picking out grammatical errors of others is just so)I just keep it moving. It’s not my job to convince others of what I have to offer but instead allow my actions to speak for themselves.

  • http://edessedesigns.typepad.com dubya

or rather, itself..I don’t know which it is, sorry, I majored in math

  • Dennis

I love black women and I am a black guy from canada! If your a black man and you rip on black women “just because then you are a self hater, no better than a racist. I am with a BW right now but often I tell sisters to find something others than black men because as noticed by the comments on this website, most of the are mean and nasty. I support sisters 100%

  • Sydney

Dubya, for the record I think its obnoxious for folks to correct other peoples posts, and that was in response to Homeboys post. That was childish of me to return the favor and try to point out the silliness of that retort.

As far as listing ones educational credentials, as US Marine did, I think thats signals insecurity as well and I should not have taken the bait.I just hate hearing sisters be denigrated.

  • http://edessedesigns.typepad.com dubya

Snuffy, I hope that you are being sarcastic otherwise, you did not get my post. I hate it when people go to extremes. I’m just saying that it is not necessary to jump down peoples’ throats and call them ignorant and/or exert your superiority just because they slip up.

Anyhoo, I don’t know if you are being sarcastic but let me tell you this, my shortcomings got me into Yale so I must be doing something right!

  • http://blackwiz.biz Tiray

Always interesting to watch people attacking elitism in a very elitist way.

  • http://edessedesigns.typepad.com dubya

i know you are referring to me 6:06 but i’m not doing so. I’m just stating that intelligence can’t be defined by what we write on a blog. I have admitted my shortcomings and have admitted that despite them, I have been able to do well for myself.

That’s not elitism, it’s the truth.

  • jen

Montell like 90% of All black men in the entertainment business and sports arenas only want white or non black women..PERIOD! There is no reason, except for thats what they feel is best, good for them, whatever makes them sleep better at night. Let those corny white girls have his washed D-List ass. Nobody CARES. Most sellouts end up forgotten just like him.

  • http://edessedesigns.typepad.com dubya

I’m not using Yale as a vantage from which I can look down upon. I’m using it as an example as to how you can’t knock someone based on bad grammar or spelling errors because you have no idea (especially on a blog) who they are and what they are about. Assuming that US Marine is ignorant and not in law school because of the way he types and doing so because you have an ivy league education is elitist.

  • Snuffy Tha’ Whitegirl Layer

I’m sorry dubya. It was just my feeble stab at levity to lighten up da’ joint. Everyone is so serious over something that has confounded us hairless apes since the dawn of time: HOW TO MATE AND CO-EXIST WITHOUT GOING (ALL) PSYCHO.

  • DEE

I am an educated black female with a PH.D in clinical psychology and have been a psychologist for years. I think that black females do get put down a lot by black men who choose to date other races. Some black men who date other races have a tendency to look down on black females. I have encounter this many times. I knew that those women didn’t have anything on me. Wealthy black men will accept that trailor park uneducated women and reject a sister who comes from the same environment because she isn’t on his level. I attended Michael Jordan Senior Flight School in August at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. I went as a guest with my brother. The white women were every where. They were doing everything to get his attention. Their body languages suggested that they would do anything he wanted them to do. I conversed with some of the women to get an idea of who they were. A lot of these women were not educated or had professional jobs. They always find away to get where the wealthy men are. They couldn’t afford the flight school but hung out in the hotel and casino. They were staying at other hotels. I didn’t see a lot of sisters. I had the opportunity to sit down and converse with MJ. His approach with me was a lot different. He came across as being very educated and serious. I don’t think that level has anything to do with it. Alot of these women are wild and provide these men with a lot of excitement. I know for a fact that they wouldn’t get that from me. I love my sisters!! I represent us well. No on can break our spirits. We are all Queens!

  • Str8 Truth

First, his last wife left him because he cheated. He even had his mistress and her mother in the audience of his show. It is not as if he is some kind of catch.

Second, who cares what color someone is. Maybe many black men and women are looking outside the race because they want compatibility in a partner and skin color does not guarantee that.

  • Str8 Truth

Oh and to add, the professional black men I have had the misfortune of knowing in my life hat self loathing issues. When that was mixed with their pompous attitudes, they had to go.

As a college educated sister, I have to honestly say most of my friends are non black. Most of the men I dated were non black. Was this an act of ostracizing blacks? No. I just refuse to have haters and negativity in my world. Black or not, if you have issues, you have to go.

Ugh, I have said it before: This race is its own worst enemy.

  • Toi

With Montel… white is always right… even if its white trash. :(

  • smartypants

Some serious buggin’ in here today.

If you couldn’t get any play in college, you probably had a funky attitude, black men and black women both.

There probably aren’t enough decent black men for all the decent black women past a certain age, but all this generalization needs to be checked at the door, and if you are having such hard time, maybe you need to improve yourself.

  • luvchild

I wanted to read all the posts before I commented. Smartypants beat me to it ‘maybe you need to improve yourself.’

If you keep finding yourself in the same types of situations and you keep winding up with the same results thats when you need to start looking at yourself.

USMarine… cant you read? … she was a flight attendant!! So what exclusive “circles” do flight attendants run in? You’re not even making any sense. And why would he have to go to “the hood” to find a decent black women? You think all black women live only in the hood? Your comments reveal some real issues you seem to have with black people.

And you also sound like a simpleton.

  • TexasDude

and USMARINE. I have doubts that you’re actually in law school as you claim. Anybody can call themselves whatever on the internet.

Besides, attorneys are supposed to be good at critical thinking, and making rational arguments. Judging from your post, you don’t seem to possess either of those skills.

Tell the truth… you’re the security guard at UM Law school, right?

  • FreqFlier

    Hey T Dude..

No need to disparage Flight Attendants..ok..Crew Members were the FIRST victims on September 11.

For the record, they ARE able to get closer to many well known people than the average Joe. Some crewmembers think of pasengers as guests in their home (as long as they are behaving) and so it elicits a different kind of behavior and more familiarity..so they do travel in rarified circles.

    Its like that.

Of course, if you are sitting deep in coach it may take a little longer to get to you. I suspect Texas Dude sits in coach A LOT..nothing wrong with that..oh..and First Class from LAX to Long Beach CA. does not count …ok

“And please do not tell me it’s not true. it happened to me and my friends. Back when we were in college, no sister liked us. too nerdy, to white they said, and for some reason now that we became doctors the same women are blaming us for marrying the white girls who stood by our side since our nerdy years.

    explain please!!”

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That sounds like B.S. I am sick to death of the whole “white women are more supportive and accepting” angle. If that were the case, why is it that the only black men that date/marry ATTRACTIVE white women are well off (athletes, entertainers, professionals)? The average brothas take the white man’s left-overs and you know it. They get the white girls no white man wanted. Walk through any major mall and you will see it. White women wrote the book on gold-digging. I’m not knocking that, but be real. I have a very hard time believing that you and your friends were on a college campus where black women largely out-number black men and the sistas were turned off because you were too smart. You must have been chasing the hoodrats, not the college students. I also sincerely doubt the white girls were looking at you period. They were chasing the atheletes. Love and marry who you wish, but PLEASE stop trying act like you were forced to date white.

“lIish, you shouldn’t let my passion for white women influence you to think negatively about black men in general. We’re all individuals…Afterall, I did not say “all” sistas, just most. I would never cast a myopic net over a whole ethnic gender. It would be illogical. Don’t you agree?”

    @ Oreo Cookie Willie

Even saying “most sistah’s” is racist. That’s like saying most, not all black men are in jail or most, not all black men spread AIDS. Most black men are dead beat dads and so on and so forth. Don’t try to front like you’re being politically correct by saying “most black women’s vaginas” instead of all. You’re still implying that all/most white women are better, when you don’t know that for certain about all/most white women. You don’t know if the reverse is true about all/most black women. What a vile thing to say. You’re so dense that you don’t even know you’re being racist, but make no mistake about it, you’re being just as racist as 6am and USMarine. You’re no better. Just like Octavia and others said, it’s the whole “white women are more supportive, they “taste better”, they’re less materialistic, they appreciate intellectualism more, this, that and the other” angle. Oreo, no wonder black women’s pussies taste bad in your mouth. They’re competing with your foot.

  • Sunshine

I think the reason that so many black women get mad when they see a black guy going out with a white woman isn’t really because she is white etc. It is usually because they choose the most uneducated, unintelligent, and trashy ones to go out with. It’s like a slap in the face because there are so many Beautiful, intelligent, sophisticated, and good-attitude-having black women out there. The other thing too is that while it seems that any race will go out with white women, not every race is going to go out with black women. Rarely do you see chinese, indian, white, latinos with black women–this is just something to think about…

[If anyone should get the blame for the wealthy black man lusts for white woman, it be the old white men from slavery days. They put the white woman out of the black man's reach, so now that he can have them, he's going to go after it like the unattainable goal. The white man (lol) should also get the blame for diminishing the view of black women in the eyes of black men...raping them, & trying to break their spirit...]

On the other hand, black women should be happy that this woman took Montel off their hands because he is probably on the DL, his show is wack, he himself has major issues, and he lacks the ability to commit…did I also mention that he’s a cheater and he’s also probably a PSYCHO.

So Hallelujah. Thank you mam’ :)

SOMETHING FROM A BLOG SOMEWHERE. Not sure if it is real…

    A White women’s opinion of black women & a brother’s response.

Please take a moment and read this. Pretty Deep! Thumbs up to this black man..

    Enjoy.

It seems that an article was written to Sister 2 Sister magazine by a Caucasian woman who requested a response from black men. I’m so glad she got what she asked for (and more) !!!

    Dear Jamie:

I’m sorry but I would like to challenge some of your Black male readers.

I am a White female who is engaged to a Black male-good-looking, educated and loving. I just don’t understand a lot of Black female’s attitudes about our relationship.

My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. As he said they were either too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy, too materialistic or carrying too much excess baggage.

Before I became engaged, whenever I went out I was constantly approached by Black men, willing to wine and dine me and give me the world. If Black women are so up in arms about us being with their men, why don’t they look at themselves and make some changes.

I am tired of the dirty looks I get and snide remarks when we’re out in public. I would like to hear from some Black men about why we are so appealing and coveted by them.

Bryant Gumbel just left his wife of 26 years for one of us Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, the model Tyson Beckford, Montell Williams, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, Harry Belafonte, Sydney Poitier, Kofi Anan, Cuba Gooding Jr., Don Cornelius, Berry Gordy, Billy Blanks, Larry Fishburne, Wesley Snipes….

I could go on and on. But, right now, I’m a little angry and that is why I wrote this so hurriedly. Don’t be mad with us White women because so many of your men want us. Get your acts together and learn from us and we may lead you to treat your men better. If I’m wrong, Black men, let me know.

Disgusted White Girl, Somewhere in VA

    RESPONSE

    Dear Jamie:

I would like to respond to the letter written by A Disgusted White Girl.

Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta , Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men.

I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy.

The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our impatience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much hassle. So, they turned to the white girls.

Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have become intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control.

I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I just want to set the record straight. I want A Disgusted White Girl to know that not all successful black men date white women.

Brothers like Ahmad Rashad, Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan, Morris Chestnut, Will Smith, Blair Underwood, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Rock all married strong black women And, to flip the script, there are numerous white men, in and out of the spot light, who openly or secretly desire black women over white women. Ted Danson, Robert DeNiro, and David Bowie to name a few.

I just don’t want a disgusted white girl to be misinformed Stop thinking that because you are white that you are some type of goddess. Remember, when black Egyptian Queens like Hatsepshut and Nitorcris were ruling Dynasties and armies of men in Egypt, you were over in the caves of Europe eating raw meat and beating each other over the head with clubs. Read your history!

It was the black woman that taught you how to cook and season your food. It was the black woman that taught you how to raise your children. It was black women who were breast feeding and raising your babies during slavery.

It is the black woman that had to endure watching their fathers, husbands, and children beaten, killed, and thrown in jail. Black women were born with two strikes against them: being black and being a woman. And, through all this, Still They Rise!

It is because of the black women’s strength, elegance, power, love and beauty that I could> never> date anyone except my black Queen. It is not just the outer beauty that captivates and draws me to them. It is not the fact that they come in all shapes, sizes, colors and shades that I love them.

Their inner beauty is what I find most appealing about black women. Their strong spirit, loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering is why I have fallen in love with black women.

I honestly believe that your anger is geared more toward jealousy and envy more so than snotty looks. If this were not so, then why do you continuously go to tanning salons to darken your skin? If you are so proud to be white, then why don’t you just be happy with your pale skin? Why do you continue to inject your lips, hips, and breasts with unnatural and dangerous substances so you can look fuller and more voluptuous?

I think that your anger is really a result of you wanting to have what the black woman has.

BOTTOM LINE: If I were looking for a docile woman, someone I can walk over and control, I would give you a call. But, unfortunately, I am looking for a Virtuous Woman. Someone that can be a good wife and mother to my children.

Someone who can be my best friend and understands my struggles. I am looking for a soul mate. I am looking for a sister and; unfortunately, you do not and CANNOT fit the bill.

    No offense taken, none given.

    Signed, Black Royalty

    @ Sunshine

Thanks for posting that. The letter from “A Disgusted White Woman” really made me hot. Amazingly, A LOT of white women believe they can have any black man they want. One of my dearest girlfriends (who is white) even told me so. We had an open and frank discussion about it. In the end, we decided she is probably right. I know plenty of weakm-inded brothas who will trip over themselves for a white woman just because of her race. In the end, however, if a black man feels that much inner shame about blackness, he’s probably not a good prospect for raising a family with anyway. Self-hatred is damning and passes through generations (i.e. the Jacksons). So, I say “LET THEM GO.”

^^@Oreo Cookie Willie, Your professed, bordering obsessive love for the “almighty white chick” is a bit useless to unveil on a blog where plenty of sistas visit. I smell a phony. If you love diving ur miniature oreo cookie parts into spoiled white milk(pun intended)then maybe u should be on TMZ or Perez where the traffic flow of blondes is heavy! Waste no time explaining to sistas, we could care less. Just go! Last i checked, sistas like myself strive for the “darker” meat of brothas anyway.

  • LetMeTellYa

    @Octavia and Sunshine:

It’s true! And I’m glad ya’ll weren’t scared to say it. From my experience, starting 20 years ago, I can honestly say that the white girls I have seen dating Black guys have had a definite “air” of superiority about them. See, what Black men DON’T get about them is that many times these women don’t even like Black people. Just because that white woman wants you, doesn’t mean she’s sympathetic to Black people’s culture, issues, and even socializing with us. Take the white girl from the Sister 2 Sister magazine. Do you think she really gives a crap about why Blacks are killing each other, their education, racial injustice, the disrespectful images of Black people, etc.? Do you really think she is going to donate time or money to these issues, even protest? The only thing, that kind cares about is what the Black man can do for her sexually and Black men fall for it every time.

    @FREQFLIER…

People like you annoy me. Reading is fundamental. It really is.

Youre missing my whole point. Nobody’s disparaging flight attendants here. Usmarine made it sound like Montel hooked up with this woman cuz she was some kind of elite who ran in celebrity circles. Being a flight attendant, you might run into celebrities sometimes, but most celebrities are not going to end up marrying the flight attendant. Just doenst happen much.

When celebrities hook up with women who are in their “exclusive” circles, who do they usually hook up with? models, actresses, singers, etc. Not necessarily the flight attendant, bartender at the club, their personal assistant, etc.

UsMarine was making it sound like Montel probably wasnt going to marry a black woman cuz most black women dont run in his circles. My point is that just as he “ran into” the flight attendant, there are black women he could have run into also, without having to go to the hood. I dont have a problem with him marrying a white woman if he wants, but I found it offensive that this idiot was making it seem as if since Montel doesnt go to the ‘hood, he wasnt going to run into black women.

I didnt say anything to disparage flight attendants, dummy, and I dont see why you’re getting your panties all up in a bunch. Learn to read and comprehend what someone says before you jump all over them, ok?

  • Jauron

DAMN Y’all can argue what you want but you gotta admit her titt*es sittin nice, not even sagging.

I couldn’t care less or more. Montel chooses who he chooses. Ever since he left his wife for that Burlesque dancer I lost respect for him as a man with integrity. And look what happene, she left him, now he tok up with the flight attendant. His manly part seems to be what controls him.

  • Wake-Up!

@ Sunshine, I think your right. I am so tired of white girls thinking we wantto be like them, negative! I have a co-worker who is married to a black guy, with children. She did’nt tell any of our white co-workers that her husband and children are black. But somehow she told me becuase I guess, (she thought) I should understand her struggle. Well, guess what? She doesn’t have the struggles I have, she would never know how it felt to be black, even with a black child. What these black guys fail to realize is that white girls will not help them be accepted in America nor the World. White girls (like my co-worker) like black people sometimes and fail to understand our culture. White women want you and only you, not your culture, your family, your characteristics. Do u think they enjoy seeing a black baby around them? I know a lot of White girls with mixed children, they don’t talk about there kids much. I know our ancestors are crying for our culture right now.

    Mrs White Now

You sound a lot like LEESA!!!! Ain’t it funny how Black males who marry White women like Montel Williams,Tiger Woods?,Brian Gumbel never seem to appeal to Sistas when they are single? Sistas call them corny or boring because they don’t keep it GANGSTA but soon as they marry a White or non Black woman they are called sell outs. Bottomline most Black males who are married to non Black women were rejected by “SISTAS” for not living up to their lofty standards. Sistas are lucky lucky Black men’s standards are not as high as their’s or all those overweight Sistas with 5 kids and chocolate complexions would be out of luck trying to find love.

Montel Williams has a non Black mate just like Halle Berry,Kerry Washington,Venus Williams,Shar Jackson,Rihanna and others do. He found love with someone who views him as a man instead of a meal ticket or a “NIGGER”.

Good luck in your marriage Montel you deserve it.

Sistas need to be better mothers to the young Black males that they have out of wedlock. In all fairness there would be a lot more Brothas in college if their mothers made them go to school everyday and did not dress their 10 year old sons in THUG WEAR.

Black women seem to have the incredible ability to point out the faults & shortcomings of everyone else

while dodging faults & shortcomings of their own. Believe me there are a lot of Brittany Spears in the Black community it’s just politically incorrect to say so because any criticism of Sistas is viewed as “HATING” or bashing while criticism of Black men is just “TELLING IT LIKE IT IS”.

Black men are criticized everyday by Sistas & society in general but we suck it up and move on but Sistas seem to go to pieces over the slightess criticim.

Woman up babygirl because things could be a lot worse

a Rapper who tells it like it is could come along who does not use profanity just the truth then some Sistas would really have something to cry about!!!

LLish or who ever you are talking about might speak for themselves but not for the majority of Black women. Look at all the Black males Sistas rave about they are all Thuggish with tattoosbig diamond earrings cornrows and/or Dreadlocks. Black women never showed Montel Williams any love because he did not fit the stereotypical image of Black men take most Sistas find much more appealing.

Every time a Brotha in here with a gripe about Sistas Black women come in to dispute it. Nobody’s perfect not even Sistas. Get over yourselves!!!!!

“Of course Doom singled out black women…Is that not the crux on which this current thread has veered you mindless dullard!?!”

So what you’re telling me is because a few people made racist remarks and stereotypes about black women you decided to join in and the reason why you thought it would be okay to single out black women in RACIST stereotypes is cause it’s the “crux on which the current thread has veered”? Look, Dr. Lynch, I know you’re delusional, geez? Since you didn’t get it the first time, I’ll repeat, Don’t be mad at me because I know RACISM when I see it!

WOW! And absentee fathers have nothing to do with that?! What about all the P. Diddys of the world… running around having SIX illegitimate kids. At least he has the bank to financially support them, but he can’t be emotionally available to that many kids. Of course, there are bad black mothers. There are bad moms and dads off all races, but you have to admit black men have a unique knack for leaving their kids behind.

What makes this situation even worse is that Montel HATES black women.

That’s why his daughter is messed up right now. His second ex-wife (the stripper) was on the “Wendy Williams Show” not too long ago and stated that their daughter is having a hard time because she is half black and her father talked bad about black women in her presence her whole life. Now, she having issues with her blackness.

Leave it to black men, either they are absentee fathers or they are present and destroying thier children’s minds.

    DOOM HAS SPOKEN!

  • anonymiss

Well, HF, if you’re gonna quote me please do it correctly. I just looked up to see if I made a typo, but I didn’t. First of all I didn’t say, “Cause the only black MEN you can see from out your window . . .” I said,

” I can tell you’re insame asylum is in the ghetto, and that they don’t wheel you out of your cell much. Cause the only black women you can see from out the window of your padded cell are like the ones in your stereotypes.”

Women not men. I have done no stereotyping of black men as a group.

    “I’ve shown I can b fair, can u?”

No what you’ve shown me is that you either had some trouble reading what I wrote or you can’t cut and paste properly, but see, I’m not gonna say that all black men can’t cut and paste or read, just because you made a mistake. Doom said that he was talking about what he saw around him and called me a ghetto cliche, among other things, so I said that his asylum was in ghetto because that’s what he was basing his stereotypes on.

  • HF

anonymiss, obviously you have some trouble reading. I said the REVERSE of ur statement. “I.E” which means IN OTHER WORDS, SUCH AS…..

    Jumpy much?

  • WHATEVER

As usual you can see on this post how many black men view black women! Total disrespect! Can you please tell me who are these so called thugs that black women just can’t get enough of? Looks like these black men have fallen into the trap of believing every racist sterotype they see in the news!

I’m not surprised that Montell’s BLACK children will have problems with their identity because men like Montell are so warped that they don’t realize that their kids will also come out black. Just remember that no matter how many white people you hang out with or sleep with you will ALWAYS be black my brother it does NOT rub off! You can continue hating yourself and your black sisters. You may not like your black skin and your hair texture but it is your heritage that is passed down to your child.

Some of you have observed that many white women with black men hates black folks in general. They could care less about uplifting our race. Take Armani Toomer’s Russian bride. He paid to send her for all types of advanced degrees while she aborted four of his fetuses and didn’t want to have sex with him. The fool even appointed her the head of his foundation and she wouldn’t dispense funds for projects geared towards “underprivileged” children. She couldn’t figure out a way to give it to Russian children so she sat on it. Many black men will tell you straight that they don’t give a damn nor do they expect their nonblack wives to care about black folks…just him. However, he knows instinctively that he must gravitate towards her nonblack community but dump on those of his own race. We have some sick self-hating men in our community and the best thing black women can do is to reflect the same attitudes towards them. It’s hard having any type of solidarity…anywhere we encounter them.

  • http://www.lovingmeansaol.com 1TruDiva w/The PlatinumVocals

    BTW–

Did you notice that the article said her parents (who are white) have custody of the 5 year-old (who happens to be white also) while the younger one was placed in a foster home. (Note that he was bi-racial!!!)

    yeah, I “peeped” that!

  • Oreo Cookie Willie

    Roz & VI_QUEEN

Why so bitter? Just accept the fact, that there’s a faction of Superior Strong Evolved Black Nunbian Kings that prefer their chocolate white – Just like their women.

Now how many times have you two rebuffed the amorous advances of respectable hard working blue collar gentlemen because (sub-consciously) you felt that you could do better? Well The Superior Strong Evolved Black Nunbian Kings are at that chapter in their lives where they can pick and choose who to build a life with as oppose to just settling.

So instead of berating Montel and or his peers, wish him and his new Precious (REVERED) IVORY GODDESS! all the happiness that they so richly deserve.

Ladies, don’t worry, your prince will come one day, riding up to your one bedroom apt. doorsteps in his slightly used Chevy Chevette to whisk you away to a nice 4 day dream vacation to an exotic locale somewhere in Akron OH. – AIN’T LOVE GRAND!

    Btw, VI_QUEEN

“MONTEL HE IS JUST CAN’T HANDLE A STRONG BLACK WOMEN IN HIS LIFE!!!”

With that attitude, is it any wonder that your prince haven’t arrived? Your problem is that you’re confusing a loving relationship with a RODEO. Honey, no one wants’ to come home to a rodeo everyday. A man wants to come to a hot meal, an ice cold beer and a BLOW JOB…So ixnay on the rodeo…It’s no good. BAD ROZ, BAD ROZ.

  • WHATEVER

Oreo Cookie your a pathetic excuse of a human being much less a “black man”. Enjoy your white cookie hope you get your just desserts!

  • Sydney

Now, Sybil was one freaky movie, wasnt it, OK, Im feeling romantic this evening. Why dont you do your best impression of Darius Lovehall and pontificate upon the myriad virtues of black women, sans the sushi crack.

  • Darius Lovehall

You mean the blues on your right thigh and the funk on your left thigh?

  • Sydney

LOL.dayum, thats why I love Larenz Tate.Be still my heart.

  • Darius Lovehall

I worship black woman with a passion that burns hotter than the very sun. I love basking in their feminine glow, for they are awe-inspiring, charming and beauty personified. – Too say more would exhaust the adjectives in a thousand languages.

  • Sydney

    Sounds good. You may continue.

  • Darius Lovehall

Uh believe it or not. I got writers block. I hate it when i can’t perform.

  • Vanessa

Don’t forget about the Jena 6.

Oh, you disappoint me, Darius **wiping the funk off my thigh** Oh well, it happens to the best of us. Now I can go to bed. Good night, Oreo/Darius. I hope youll be good from now on. Smooches!

Goodnight fare Sydney. You know i’m gon’ get raked over the coals tomorrow. My hard earned rep as being an asshole has been irreparably compromised.

  • Sydney

    LOL@Darius

Well, like they say, the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice. Youve just had some nectar.

  • hhhh

    WUDDA?

  • Roz

Oreo Cookie Willie, the best thing black women can do for themselves is to make you a part of history. I’m proud to see more women are willing to adopt the same attitudes you adhere to. For the few that still want you it’s just a matter of time before they won’t. Then all friction will cease. I laugh everytime I see single nonblack women dragging your kids around looking for their next hit. Once black women truly accept you for what you are it’ll remove all reasons to acknowledge you let along expect anything.

  • Roz

Oreo Willie is living vicariously through other black men who see nothing to love in themselves and certainly “can’t” find anything in their mirror reflection including their full black children. We are infinitely better off “driving” him to any woman as long as she’s not black. The bottom of the barel can’t attact any woman and hate to see or believe in the possibility of black women can be happy and content without them. It’s always black men leading the charge to bring harm to it’s women and by extension…their children. It’s all backfiring because black women are coming back even “stronger” in the face of intra-racial bigotry that you promote. In the final analysis black men are the ones who will suffer the most and lose even more respect in the civilized world.

  • Bella

SILVIA BROWNE is a fake and he has her on his show…Does that make Montel a fake???

For the record I am a black woman that adores geeky men. We all don’t go after the thuggish ruggish type.

  • Roz

Tru Diva, many white grandparents let the biracials ones go into foster care when they step in to take over. They don’t want the black men using those kids as excuses to come visiting so they nip it in the bud. But no matter what these women do black men are the only ones who still believe they’re pure as the driven snow. Look how they line up like dogs for K. Kardashian…very good example.

  • CJ

Okay the article has one flaw. Montel’s exwife didn’t divorce him because he had MS (Multiple Schlerosis). She dropped his ass because he was caught cheeting people!!!!!!! Get your story straight!!!!

  • Tahiti

^^^ Yes, Montel is a serial cheater. I suggest this new wife get a good divorce lawyer and protect herself.

  • Anonymous

Tiray, people disagree with you all the time. It’s just easier to ignore you sometimes rather than tell you that they don’t agree, cause you don’t want to listen anyway. Keep believing that you have the answers. the rest of us know otherwise.

  • Amber

Oh my god! I’ve never read so much bitterness. I’m white and i’m with a black man, who is also blue collar. He’s respectful, thoughtful, intelligent and a great provider. Our circle of friends are comprised of white, black and latino, it’s a true melting pot. Leesa are you a geneticist or a nazi? How dare you make such a blanket statement about black men! I find it ironic that you and Roz are accusing black men of self hate on one hand and yet you Leesa says because of their genetics, they are predisposed to bad behavior. What does that say for you or Roz? Weren’t you two sired by a black man? And if so, does that make you also flawed? Obviously the difference between us evil white women and you self-rightous sistas, are that we can love a black man unconditionally and without prejudging, while you sistas love comes with a laundry list of silly baggage, pre-conceived notions and unreasonable demands.

  • kelis

Amber, I suggest you read a book!!!! No one can love a brotha better than a sista, okay! No matter what you think. And we don’t all come with “baggage, preconceived notions, and unreasonable demands”. As the letter read earlier in the post, don’t act as if you are better than us. You may think color has nothing to do with it, but racism is still very much alive in america and understanding being black and the struggle that comes along with it is a big thing.

  • Anonymous

“IF you have the answer’s…why in the heck are you guys in the predictament that you’re in?

    Hmmm…someone’s living in denialllllll!”

Tiray, I never said I had all the answers to every problem plaguing black America. Though you keep claiming to, no matter what anyone else says. The only reason why I haven’t been completely disrespectful is because I’m afraid that you’re one those people that might shoot up my school if someone tries to stop you from speaking.

  • Roz

luvchild, I ignore them too. No doubt about it white women want the satisfaction of believing black women are suffering because of them. It fcuks with their heads when you deprive them of that delicious pleasure by not acknowledging them whatsoever…and their kids too. I will never place one of them above a black child. That’s out! This is why I believe it’s best for black women to give up on black men and push them in their direction. Once that happens it’ll deprive them of any reason to expect negative reactions from black women, which I’ve NEVER given them. I once sat in the front seat of a taxi I shared with a mixed couple. I could feel the hostility from them both as I conversed with the driver until I left the car at the first stop. It seemed like they were hanging onto my every word, as they never spoke to each other. When I exited I wished everyone a good day and never looked back. White women often instigate friction with black women in public so black men can go neanderthal in public. Some black men admit being exploited in this way.

  • Amber

It’s a lame ass excuse when people have the nerve to say that “how many black women are on his level financially”…that has nothing to do with nothing. How many white women are on their level financially??? None, but that doesn’t matter because they are white. If being with a black woman is important to you, you find them..no BS excuses.

  • Roz

Amber, you are so “typical” it’s not even funny. You’re also the exact type who’ll resort to calling black men the N-word the first time he falls out of favor with you. When have you ever loved anyone “unconditionally”? You’re only fooling black men and I believe you have sense enough to know everyone else sees right “through” your little innocent charade. Go back to hell!

  • Roz

Amber, go research Amani Toomer’s ex and don’t forget Lou Rawls’ ho while you’re at it. Poor Lou died trying to annul his marriage. And whatever you do don’t forget your due diligence on Michael Strahan’s ex who’s taking him for everything he owns practically. Talk about one nassssty bich…wait til you get a load of Jean!!!! I won’t read Michael’s book but the excerpts proved everything I’ve learned from about white women over the years. You cannot be trusted especially when the chips are down. I can’t wait for black men to figure all this out. Wonder which species they’ll migrate to next?? I could care less, but I do want black women to send them all in your direction…that’s for sure. Some black men are openly talking about racist white women in the workplace siding with their white men. They also admit to taking lots of shyt off you too once your heads have been pumped up and they have nowhere else to turn. You can fool some of the people some of the time…

  • LEESA

    To Amber:

So, you’re a white woman, with a blue collar black man…

You were obviously rejected by your fellow white men, for any number of reasons, (your personal appearance, or lack of education, or your socio-economic status, or any number of other reasons that discerning white men use!) Keep trying to convince yourself that as a member of the dominant society, you chose a low level black man by choice, and not out of necessity!

You may have yourself fooled, but Amber, I think anyone can see that you HAD to “settle”!

  • Buckwheat

Good Lord! LEESA! You’re insane. Such Vemom and Anger. Your last post radiates with it. When was the last time you got laid? – Battery Operated Boyfriend(s) don’t count. I mean actual human contact. Babygirl, you soooooo need a hug.

  • LEESA

    Buckwheat:

So glad to have your love and attention. And you are, who?

  • Buckwheat

I guess you ran out of batteries huh, lady Leesa?

When was the last time a man took you into his arms and held you tight, looking longingly into your eyes, expressing his undying love…Carrying you like a rare delicate flower to yours and his bedchambers for a night of wild (yet) tender lovemaking. He slowly undrapes you and carresses your body with hungry and lustful kisses, while you moan in suspenseful delight, waiting with anticipation that soon you and him will be engaging in an erotic ballet of sweat glistining flesh…Then BANG! You wake up wanting to slit your wrist, because it was all a dream that will never become a reality, because you’re your own worst enemy. I realize that this was a poor substitute for your “BATTERY OPERATED BOYFRIEND”, but until you buy some new batteries, this will have to do. Try not to rub yourself to hard. I heard that a chafed coochie can be quite painful.

  • LEESA

    Buckwheat:

Being the transexual that you are, you already know that a chafed coochie is painful!

You better be nice to me, or I won’t give you that bagful of women’s clothes and shoes that I promised you!

  • 1truDiva from Keta’s ‘puter, dammit!

    @LEESA–

You’re going hard in her aren’t cha? Lol!

Keep you head up girl, I hear ya! Lol!

  • Buckwheat

Damn LEESA I must’ve left you a little flustered. I’m used to a little more spit and fire in your responses. The whole tranny thing seems so lame and unoriginal. Maybe I should sic Amber on you.

How you be Diva girl. Hope all is well and sunshine in your life. CIAO!

  • Buckwheat

Sorry to here about your son. Hope he mends quickly so he can get back on the ol’ gridiron.

So, as you can see, this Montell thing caused a little Jihad. Just enough to get my bloodlust on.

It’s nice to push a few buttons.

Btw, did you figure out how many other posters were me?

  • http://www.lovingmeansaol.com 1TruDiva w/The PlatinumVocals

    Hi Buckwheat–

    Give me a second, OK???

***scrolling back up to reread some posts**

I SURE DID! For the benefit of our amusement, I’ll just reply by number–leaving out the names.

I’m going with four! If you’d like–I’ll post the “names” on my MySpace page. Am I correct in my assumption…no..please allow me to use a more befitting word….Hypothesis??!! Lol!!!!!!

BTW— I never believed that “high school drop out garbage! If that’s the case, I know quite a few people that should’ve dropped out of the same high school! Lol!!

  • Sydney

I’m sorry to intrude (but I’m up late), but Buckwheat is Oreo (who also assumed the identity of Darius Lovehall, LOL). And Buckwheat has a particular fondness for LEESA. Oreo has an affinity for European epicurean delights.

Oh, and Doom (very funny guy) and Homboy from outer space (master spell checker) are the creations of the same person as well.

    Am I right?

  • Oreo Cookie Willie

You can post them hear, if you like. The H.S. dropout thing is true. At the time I had different priorities. Btw, is your username a link to your Myspace page? Everytime I click on it, I get a server not found.

  • Homboy from outta space

It’s all about the phonetics Syd.

  • Sydney

Understood, Homboy, LOL. Reading is fundamental.

But Oreo has misspellings in his posts at times. It happens. Doesn’t take away from his astounding intellect or creativity.

  • Homboy from outta space

Don’t know about the intellect, but the creativity is easy. Btw, How did you like Amber #1?

  • Sydney

Dayum, that was you, too! LMAO You better stop. The rancor on some of these strings is scaring me.

  • Homboy from outta space

Hey! What better way to get some of these militant sistas to drop their guard? Dress them down as a brotha-lovin white girl to throw them off their game.

  • Sydney

That’s kind of mean, don’t you think? Or is this some sort of psych experiment for you?

  • Homboy from outta space

All of the above. Besides, some of these posters take themselves wayyyy too serious. LEESA is the most fascinating though. I truly think that shes’ been in some major disfunctional relationships…So I consider her the Windmill to my Don Quioxte. I would love to expose her demons/dragons.

  • Sydney

I think you should leave her alone, really. But that’s just me. There are mant sisters who have been hurt and crave love and kindness. I know from personal experience.

  • Sydney

    I meant *many*.

  • Homboy from outta space

Yeah, but come on, have you read some of her rants about black men? The girl has some serious issues…Especially when it comes to blackmen dating white women. It’s like Pavlovian response: Blackman/Whitewoman – LEESA: Useless; Nigger; Coon or Coonish and other colorful adjectives and adverbs…Yeah, I know that i’m guilty of it as well, but in my defense, it’s typed with tongue tucked tightly in my cheek.

  • Homboy from outta space

    Ooops firmly in my cheeks

  • Sydney

I guess I see it from both sides. If a brother constantly berates black women, I’m just going to write him off as a lost cause. I prefer to spend my energy on other things.Otherwise, that person’s dysfunctions start to affect you.

  • Homboy from outta space

Only if you let it. That’s whats’ so cool about this site. Not the actual subjects, but the posters and their comments. I mean look at poor Roz, living her life through other peoples problems and then using it as justification to villify a large portion of the male gender – Wnen in actuallity, she’s using it as a defense mechanism to protect herself from getting close to the opposite sex. Some of these comments are better than THE LEARNING CHANNEL.

  • Sydney

What about some of the male posters, like US Marine? Seems like he has misconstrued notions of black women.

  • Homboy from outta space

Yeah, but how many guys who posts on this site (me included) are even remotely enlightened, when it comes to women? You learn in basic H.S. psychology, that female tend to mature more rapidly than males. Granted, U.S. Marine probably has the maturity of a blueberry scone, but what was more interesting was the temporary meltdown of blaqpoet. – The self professed med school graduate.

  • Sydney

I think it should be “about black women.” I’m tired, LOL.

    Do you watch Discovery, too?

  • Homboy from outta space

Yeah. That has Meekrat Manor doesn’t?

  • Sydney

Well, I can’t comment on Blaq Poet since I had a temporary meltdown myself, LOL. I regret even stooping to respond to him. Clearly, we all gave him the pleasure, and, power, of needling us. Not a good look.

  • Homboy from outta space

Hey it made it all the more fun when i put him on blast, when i posted as Church Jackson to expose how he wasn’t being all that honest.

  • Sydney

HaHa, Meerkat Manor is on Animal Planet, but I’ve watched that show. They are so cute! I read in the NY Times that Flower was killed by a snake. I was devastated *sniffle*

But Animal Planet is under the discovery Communications umbrella, so it’s all the same company.

  • Homboy from outta space

Yeah, i was bummed about that and what happened to Shakesphere after the first season.

  • Sydney

You were Church Jackson, too? Brother, you are Sybil, LOL. Even she only had but so many personalities.

What are you going to do now that you’ve been outed?

  • Homboy from outta space

Are you kidding? Most of these posters have short attention spans. Besides, this thread (with the exception of us & Diva) is pretty much dormant. Besides, I tend to go with the flow…As in coming up with different personalities to fit each thread subject matter. It’s easy to blend in, since most of these posters are guided by their emotions.

  • Sydney

I see. So will you be Darius for me again?

  • Homboy from outta space

Oh! I forgot, i was also Snuffy the whitegire layer.

  • Homboy from outta space

My Darius needs some work. I was never anygood at being the emotionally unavailable mackdaddy. Hell, come to think of it, i was never a mackdaddy.

  • Sydney

LOL, you tried to calm down Dubya, the Yale Ph.D. candidate.I think Ilish got your humor right away.

Since you like being any a**hole, to use your word, why were you nice to me?

  • Sydney

Darius was emotionally available at the end, in that beautiful scene in the rain. And he was a mackdaddy before he met Nina and quickly became enthralled with her beauty and mystique. And the sex scenes were great.

  • Homboy from outta space

You weren’t as confrontational as the other posters, and you like The Boondocks.

  • Sydney

    I meant *AN a**hole*

Yeah, I like The Boondocks but I fell asleep during the premiere. Did you see it?

  • Homboy from outta space

Yeah. It wasn’t that good though. Oh, well its’ getting late and i have to do index a crapload of pleadings tomorrow.

  • Sydney

Sure, I have a busy day today. Take care.

  • Homboy from outta space

    Night, Night.

As far as your brain teaser, so far i’m baffled. I’m sure the answer is right in my face. Hopefully I should be finished by 3:00am. It’s been a long day indexing pleadings and now i’m archiving some old files. I can’t believe i’ve been here since 11:00am. Oh well, it keeps me humble. Hope you had a nice day. Talk to you soon. p.s. Sydney, if you’re online. Greetings and Salutations :o )

    Hi Buck, Hi Diva,

I almost thought the hint would give it away— especially after the Suge Knight swirl! Lol!!!

OK. You’re off the hook with your dignity intact!

I’m surprised you didn’t partake in the TI/Vanessa thread. That would’ve really made it amusing!!!!!!

    Ciao me bella!

  • Buckwheat

Ok, you got me on that one. I guess i over thought it. In regards to the TI/Vanessa thread, I was going to chime in as either Oreo or Abner Kravitz. Oreo to jump on Vanessa and Abner to goof on the absurdity of TI’s and Tiny’s bad judgement, but I just couldn’t muster the inspiration, due to a lack of sleep from working these long hours over the weekend…As is, i’m wrapping things up at my workstation so I can get out of here and salvage about 3 hours of sleep so I can function later on today when monday actually begins. Hope to talk to you later. Sweet dreams Lady Diva and Sydney.

  • Sydney

Hi Wheat, hope you had a good day. I’m on my way home.

  • Buckwheat

Right back atcha Lady Sydney. How you be?

  • Sydney

I’m tired, Wheat. I think I need a vacation soon. Have you posted on any of the threads lately? I could use a good laugh :)

BTW, do you watch Damages on FX? The season finale is tonight.

  • Buckwheat

Yeah, i’m posting as Chucky Sleaze on the latest Kim Kardashian thread. I’m (as the name implies) playing the Devils advocate: The moral contemptible side. I hope you won’t be too offended.

Yes, I do watch Damages. At work, it’s one of the main water cooler programs. The last ep. was a shocker when the opposing counsel blew his head off. Didn’t see that one comin’.

  • Sydney

Hey Wheat, I’ll look at your posts when I get home. If you’re too offensive, I might take you on, LOL.

Yeah, last week was a shocker and kind of sad. I really liked Frobisher’s lawyer. I saw him as a deeply conflicted character.

  • Sydney

OK, I just scanned that Kim K. thread and it was brutal. That Black Friday is a head case. He probably slaps his woman around for sport.

    Where is the love?

  • Buckwheat

Yeah, it got pretty immature. I don’t know if he’s physically abusive, but he’s definitely varbally abusive when his buttons are pushed.

Frobisher’s counsel was definitely fighting some internal battles. And Glenn Closes’s character was so condescending when she lowered the boom on him…Then sugar-coated by offering employment down the line had to be the deepest cut.

  • Sydney

Yeah, she did deliver some very cutting lines, and he killed himself rather than compromise his morals. Sad.

And verbal abuse goes hand-in-hand with physical abuse. I think B.F. Definitely has abused a woman or two. He hates being questioned and he,s full of rage. His posts really bothered me.

I know this is just a gossip blog, but it really reveals many of our pathologies.

  • Buckwheat

Yes it does. I wish that some of these posters could take a more cathartic approach as oppose to taking everything so personal. Afterall, it’s the internet. It can only hurt you if you let it.

  • Sydney

Well, therein ies the rub. It is just the Internet but thesr issues hit close to the vest, or hearts.

  • Buckwheat

Ha Ha! Over Kim Kardashian. Who da’ thunk it…So how was your day? One of those “CALGON TAKE ME AWAY DAYS”?

  • Sydney

    *I meant to write “these”

Yes, it was a rough day. I had problems with my Outlook and it threw my day off. I’m going to cook some dinner and relax. And you, Sir Wheat?

  • Buckwheat

Well yesterday Human Resources sent me an email alerting me that I had to start using my personal days or risk losing them…So I took the day off and veged by playing the provocateur on the Kim. K. thread and shredded a pile of pre-approved credit card and car loan applications – Fun!

  • Sydney

*Sigh* I have some personal time I need to take off, too. Work has just been so busy lately. Maybe I can take a weekend trip somewhere fun.

  • Buckwheat

With the exception of Chucky Sleaze, I was pretty nice…But duely noted. Besides it’s must-see boobtube tonight. Reaper and Damages.

  • Sydney

I haven’t seen Reaper yet. That’s not the Holly Hunter show, is it?

Want to compare notes on Damages later?

  • Buckwheat

Are you east coast or west coast?

Reaper concerns a guy whos’ parents made a deal with the Devil to save the moms life in return for their sons services when he turned 21…So he has to track down escaped souls from hell using a souped-up dust devil vaccuum cleaner. It’s pretty funny.

  • Sydney

I’m East Coast, so I’m getting ready for Damages. But I stay up late as you know (Smile).

Reaper sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.

Do you watch Nip/Tuck? I’ve missed the last seasons But I want to check the new season out.

  • Buckwheat

I saw the first season, which was entertaining, but haven’t seen the last three. Was planning on Netflixing them when I get a chance. I’m west coast, so Damages doesn’t start for another 90mins. But if you’re game, i’m am.

  • Buckwheat

    Oops! 2 1/2 hours.

  • Sydney

Sure, I’m game ;) So should we touch base later? I have another 30 minutes.

  • Buckwheat

    Yeah. So whats for dinner?

  • Sydney

Oh, I just whipped up some pasta. I need to do some grocery shopping. I haven’t eaten today, so I’m starving.

  • Buckwheat

Yeah i know what you mean. I gotta go and forage for some food myself. Probably Chinese takeout. Oh well, enjoy your dinner and i’ll talk to you later. CIAO!

  • Sydney

Chinese, yum! I’m a lo mein fan myself. Talk to you later.Ciao!

  • Sydney

First commercial break, this is good. BTW, do you know about the Frontline program tonight on Cheney? I’m missing it to watch Damages :)

  • Buckwheat

Hey Sydney I’m posting from work. As soon as I signed off a couple of hours ago, my area experienced a power outage. So it looks like I won’t be able to see Damages until it re-airs tomorrow or this weekend. How was it?

  • Sydney

Sorry, I dozed off. You missed it, Wheat? There’s one more episode to go. They showed hoe Ellen’s fiance was murdered. His sister, forgot her name, gave him the video that Gregory Molina made before he died. Frobisher hired a few goons to get it back. Tell me what you think after you see it.

Im fading out. Night. Wheat. Please forgive any typos.

  • Buckwheat

Hey, i’m still at work due to the power outage in my area. Hopefully when I get home the power will be back on. The ep. sounds good. I’ll probably see it tomorrow. Pleasant dreams sweet Sydney.

  • Sydney

I got your message, Wheat. I meant to write “how,” not “hoe.” Yeah, it was a good episode but sad at the same time. Although his death was foreshadowed, it was still hard to watch. Frobisher is a repulsive beast. Desperation breeds cruel acts.

    Ciao, Sir Wheat! Bon nuit.

Sorry, I get silly when I’m tired.

  • Buckwheat

Aww, it wasn’t silly – It was cute. Goodnight Lady Sydney:o)

  • Sydney

Oh, and I hope your power is back on soon! Poor thing.

  • Buckwheat

Yeah I hope so too. Ain’t nothing more miserable that sitting in the dark contemplating the vicissitudes of life while staring into darkness.

  • Buckwheat

    Oops than sitting.

I guess i’ll hang it at work for another couple of hours and get caught up on some indexing.

  • Sydney

Awwww. . .well, if you had a lady friend, the two of you could, you know, take advantage of the situation. Sorry, I’m being bad.

OK, I’m going to bed for real. Hope to chat with you again soon!

  • Buckwheat

    Night, Night.

  • Sydney

Wheat, quick note — kudos on your msg last night on the Kim K. thread. I agree that we should give civility a chance. Have a good day!

  • Buckwheat

I don’t think it took. Black Friday and Anonymous are about as far apart as Israel and Palestine in their peace accord. I tried to add a little levity as Confuscious, but to no avail – Those crazy kids.

  • Buckwheat

Hey! Did you get your outlook problem solved? Other than that how was your day?

  • Sydney

Oh, yeah, my Outlook is fine. My day was good, but I was a little tired (stayed up late, LOL). How was your day?

  • Sydney

BTW, I’m watching one of my other guilty pleasures — Ghost Hunters, LOL.

  • Buckwheat

I took another personal day, since I worked last night for six hours – 8:pm – 3:am. So, I did grocery shopping and looked at one of those Maury Povich’s “Mama’s Baby, Daddy’s Maybe DNA Testing ep.” Good stuff.

  • Sydney

You watch Maury? LOL I can’t lie, I have, too. But I swear some of those sistas make me want to turn in my “Negro Card.” I mean, how many baby daddys can you have?

  • Buckwheat

They did a study a couple of years ago and determined that over 20% of the children in this country are not the biological offspring of the father. Gotta do those DNA test. Sign of the times.

  • Sydney

That’s sad, it really is. You have to be careful who you lie down with, and protection is key.

  • Buckwheat

I think that within a year, the male version of the birth control pill is suppose to start its’ trial run. I think alot of men are going to sign-up to the first guinea pigs.

  • Buckwheat

    oops to be

  • Sydney

That will be good — sort of equitable. Would you sign up? :)

  • Buckwheat

Nope! Being a home theater buff, i’ve learned to never trust first generation products. I apply the same discipline to medical experiments. I’m no big fan of condoms, considering that they’re least effective form of protection, due to leaking and breaking, but hey, what can you do.

  • Sydney

You know, I’m amazed how a number of brothers are willing to take the plunge without their swimcaps. Yes, ihe Pill will guard against pregnancy, but you still need a shield against STDs. End of story.

  • Buckwheat

Yep! It’s a conundrum. On one hand, you gotta protect yourself, but on the otherhand it takes away the overall sensation + the fact that y’all feel so damn good, and when you factor in the whole hormones and passion thing, the average man/woman will sometimes throw caution to the wind. Ahhh Sex! Whatta’ concept.

  • Sydney

Guess what? My best friend just got engaged!! Isn’t that great news?

On the sex front, yes, it is a conundrum. I had one brother tell me he would have sex with me with a condom. Of course, at that point, I was already nude in his bed. Talk about peeved. That was sexual blackmail.

  • Sydney

    I meant *he would NOT*

    I’m a little dazed.

  • Buckwheat

You mean he would or wouldn’t have sex with a condom? If he got you in the mood with the promise or notion of using a condom, then renigned at the last second – Then yes, that is blackmail, bordering on extortion (almost)

  • Buckwheat

Oh nevermind. you clarified. Yes it is great news.

  • Sydney

He told me he absolutely would not use a condom with me. He said he didn’t have one nor did he want to go get any. So, despite my intense attraction for him, I had to tell him it wasn’t a go.

  • Buckwheat

I guess that killed that relationship. I assumed he went to bed with blueballs and you went home to a cold shower. Relationships can be a true emotional minefield sometimes.

  • Sydney

Yeah, my friend called me from her now-fiance’s house to share the great news. I knew it was coming — she met a great brother and they’re perfect together. They’ve been dating for like a year.

  • Buckwheat

Sounds like they developed some good symetry. I wish them the best:o)

  • Sydney

LOL, you could say that ;)

  • Sydney

Yeah, they did. I think when you meet your soulmate, things fall smoothly into place.

I hope I didn’t offend you tonight, by the way.

  • Sydney

    *meant “for ABOUT a year”

  • Buckwheat

Yeah, in this day and age you gotta’ be wayyy up front on what you expect in a relationship when it moves to that next level. Where I work at, i’ve seen some of the staff and attys get in these here today, gone today relationships that end in abortions, mixed-messages, signals crossed, restraining orders, spontaneous Las Vegas weddings – Six months later divorces, extra marital affairs resulting in undercover abortions and in one case an extra-marital affair with a well known westcoast hired gun hook singer.

  • Buckwheat

Offend me? Darlin’ you’re carryin’ on a conversation with Oreo Cookie Willie/Chucky Sleaze + a host of other nefarious aliases.

  • Sydney

Wow! Who was the singer? Do tell.

So how do you like the legal field?

  • Buckwheat

He performed the hook to Warren G’s Regulate.

It’s cool. It pays the bills, great benefits, 401k + a separater retirement money plan and flexible hours. Been there for almost 18yrs.

  • Sydney

OK, I think I know who you’re talking about. Hmmm, intriguing.

Glad you like your gig. I’m in PR.If I hadn’t gone into communications, I would have definitely gone into law.

  • Buckwheat

What sort of PR are you in? Entertainment, commercial products, political?

  • Sydney

I work in PR for a health insurer. Our office specializes in legislative affairs, so I work with lobbyists. It’s very interesting.

  • Buckwheat

I bet y’all got the primo connect to the best HMO’s and specialized healthcare. We have to change ours every few years due to costs.

  • Sydney

Yes, we do have great health benefits, which is a plus :)

  • Sydney

What kind of law does your office specialize in?

  • Buckwheat

Oh well Lady Sydney, I have to go run a few errands before it gets’ too late. So I will chat with you later.

  • Buckwheat

Mostly Environmental, Complex Business Law, Toxic Tort, Real Estate and Intellectual Properties.

  • Sydney

OK, Sir Wheat, have a good night.

  • Buckwheat

    Night, Night sweet Sydney:o)

  • Sydney

Hi Wheat, I just wanted to say hi. I hope you had a good day.

  • Buckwheat

Hello there Lady Sydney. I’m currently sitting at my desk working feverishly to clear it off and addressing a crapload of e-mail request. I’ve definitely have to win the lottery. I just informed another 60 boxes are coming in from another firm that’ll need indexing asap. – So there goes my weekend of getting caught up on my backlog of comicbooks. – Damn!

I hope your day went swimmingly. Me I have another 4 hours to go at work before I can call it day.

  • Sydney

Hi Sir Wheat, I’m sorry about your backlog. I’m just heading home from happy hour with my newly engaged friend. We had to celebrate :)

What comic books do you have? I used to read X-Men and ElfQuest back in the day.

  • Buckwheat

You are truly a kindred spirit. I read the X-men, Spiderman, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Ex Machina, Hellboy, Daredevil, Ms. Marvel and a few others. Wish your friend my best:o)

  • Sydney

I was thinking the same thing @kindred spirit :) Have you heard of Elfquest? I’ve always had a thing for little people :) I loved the Smurfs growing up.

Did you see the Hellboy movie?

  • Buckwheat

Yes I’ve heard of Elfquest, never read it though. I was your typical superhero geek. Yes I did see Hellboy and also have the directors cut on dvd. They’re currently shooting the sequel in Prague for release next year. I was also a major BTVS/Angel fan when they were on tv. A couple of Attys at work, hipped me onto it.

  • Sydney

Yeah, I saw some episodes of Buffy and I saw the movie, but the series was much darker, not that campy.

The Hellboy directed also did Pans Labyrinth, right?

  • Sydney

    Oops #director

  • Buckwheat

Yep. Pans Labyrinth was pretty bizarre, but his prior movie The Devil’s Backbone was pretty intense.

As far as Buffy, to really appreciate it, you would have to see from the beginning, due to its’ story arcs. Every season was a carryover from the last.

  • Sydney

Yeah, I never caught a full season of Buffy. What happened to Sarah Michelle Gellar anyway? I admired her martial arts skills.

Have you heard about the new Super Friends movie (but I don’t think that’s the right name for it.) I think Jessica Biel may play Wonder Woman and I know guys think she’s super-hot, but she pales in comparison to Lynda Carter.

  • Buckwheat

SMG has a few movies in the can for subsequent release later this year and next.

Justice League of America (JLA). Jessica Biel turned down the role as WW. I agree with you face-wise, but she has ol’ Linda beat in the body dept. Linda had no booty whatsoever.

  • Sydney

Oh, I was thinking more in terms of Linda’s spirit. I loved copyong her spins :) I was even WW one Halloween and my brother was Batman.

BTW, was Green Lantern a brother? I looked him up on Wikipedia but the illustration was white. I could have sworn there was a black superhero.

  • Buckwheat

Within the Green Lantern Corps, there are different Nationalities and Species from all over the universe. (Dang girl! You bringin’ out my geek)

  • Sydney

I think that’s mutual :) I have to nurture my superhero fetish all by my lonesome, too esoteric for most of my friends, LOL.

And can I say that I like Halle, but I couldn’t stomach watching her as Storm, whom I loved. Halle doesn’t scream strong African goddess to me.

  • Sydney

I always thought Angela Bassett would have made a better Storm. I did like Anna Paquin as Rogue.I never saw an X-Men movie in its entirety, though.

  • Buckwheat

Yeah when they first announced her casting as Storm, I threw a major geek fit along with some other comicbook geeks at The Golden Apple Comic Shop. You’d think that they could’ve found a younger dark-skinned statuesque Nigerian actress somewhere…If Iman would’ve been twenty years younger, she would’ve been perfect. Halle SUCKED! And Catwoman was a total abortion.

  • Sydney

Oh, yes, Iman would have been great as well. Yeah, I was embarrassed for Halle in Catwoman. She even plugged that abomination on Oprah.

Michelle Pfeiffer was a good Catwoman, I thought, and I’ll always pay homage to the iconic Eartha Kitt.

BTW. I thought the Hulk movie was a stinker as well. I didn’t waste my money.

Did you see the Transformers movie? And I think they’re making a Voltron movie, right?

  • Buckwheat

Yes Ang Lee was definitley the wrong choice to helm The Hulk. His style of directing is wayyy too sombulescent to the point of coma inducing…But I am looking forward to the re-boot of The Hulk starring Ed Norton. They’re currently shooting it, in Canada for a next Summer release.

No I didn’t see The Transformers yet, but I did order it from Amazon. I’m looking forward giving my home theater system a workout when it arrives.

  • Sydney

There’s a new Hulk film coming out with Ed Norton as Bruce Banner? Wow. . .This I have to see.

I haven’t seen the Transformers, but I heard it was pretty good.

Do you like the horror genre at all?

  • Sydney

Hey Wheat, I hate to do this, but I think I’m going to head to bed early. I have a busy day tomorrow, but I really enjoyed talking with you.

    Ciao, Sir Wheat. Bon nuit.

  • Buckwheat

That’s cool. I’m still at work…But i’m about to wrap things up. Talk to you soon.

    Night, Night Sweet Sydney.

  • Sydney

Yeah, I hate the new gory flicks as well. I liked more old school flicks like The Shining.

I’m a big fan of indie films and I like foreign films.

  • Buckwheat

If you like indie films, did you happen to checkout this low-budget flick called “Brick”? It’s a mystery noir that concerns H.S. School students. Meagan Good has a real juicy role in it.

  • Sydney

Hey Wheat, I haven’t heard of “Brick.” I’ll check it out. I think I want to see “Rendition” and “The Darjeeling (forgot the rest of the title), I loved films like Little Miss Sunshine and Notes On a Scandal (I really like Dame Judi Dench and I think British films are very witty.)

If you have any other recommendations, please let me know. I’m very behind in my indie enthusiast responsibilities. :)

  • Sydney

BTW, I meant “The Darjeeling Limited.” Have you seen “Lust, Passion?” That looks interesting as well.

  • Buckwheat

No i haven’t seen Lust, Passion…But I’m not a huge fan of Ang Lee’s though. His only flick i enjoyed was The Ice Storm. As far as Wes Anderson’s oovre, i’m a huge fan of Bottle Rocket.

  • Sydney

Hi Wheat, I gave you the incorrect name of Ang Lee’s movie. It’s “Lust, Caution.” And I liked “The Ice Storm,” but it was very depressing — guess that was the point. I haven’t seen Bottle Rocket, but I think Owen Wilson is hilarious. I hope he’s recovering well from his recent episode.

  • Buckwheat

Yeah, I guess Goldie Hawn’s daughter (what’s er name) must’ve whipped on him bigtime to go to those extremes to get a little attention.

  • Sydney

Oh yeah, I forgot about his thing with Kate Hudson.Well, that’s why I call it the “Power of the P.”

  • Buckwheat

Yeah it can sho nuff be dangerous if you don’t treat it right.

  • Sydney

    LOL

  • Buckwheat

So how’s your Friday night so far. Me, i’m wrapping things up at work so i can take off.

  • Sydney

Oh, I’m just relaxing at home. It has been a long week, plus it’s raining.

    Any plans later on?

  • Buckwheat

Nothing much. I have to index those boxes tomorrow, so no bar-hopping or chasing wild women tonight.

  • Sydney

So you’re skipping the strip club tonight? You’ve mentioned it so often in your posts,

  • Chucky Sleaze

Hey! Whaddaya talkin’ bout. Strippa’ clubs is good wholsum’ ennertainmint. I have you knows dat’ i put dawters Gladys n’ Myrtle throo college while runnin’ my strippa’s emporeeum.

  • Buckwheat

Sorry. I had a Chucky flashback.

  • Darius Lovehall

Oh beautiful Sydney, how I yearn to make my permanent residence within your heavenly embrace and taste the sweet nectar from your supple lips.

  • Buckwheat

Sorry. Forgot to take my medicine. Damn multiple personalities. Lawsy, I need help.

  • Sydney

LOL, ain’t nothing with a little bump and grind. . .Working the pole is a real job. It can leave you with a chafed coochie.

  • Sydney

Damn, Darius, where do you live? This could be our remake of Sleepless in Seattle. I wouldn’t sharing my nectar with you, LOL.

  • Sydney

    *wouldn’t MIND

  • Buckwheat

I guess you must have Love Jones in your dvd collection?

  • Sydney

Of course :) And I have the soundtrack somewhere,

  • Buckwheat

Yeah I have the Soundtrack on my itunes library.

  • Sydney

The Meshell song used to be my seduction anthem.

  • Sydney

Wheat, I think I need to take a nap. Would you tuck me in?

  • Buckwheat

Hey Sydney, I have to shutdown my workstation. It’s about to go through its’ Webroot virus sweep. I should be home in about 90 mins or so. Sweet dreams.

  • Sydney

    You, too, Wheat.

  • The Musings of Darius Lovehall

Holy mis-opportunity Batman! I had the chance to tuck Sydney “THE HOLY GRAIL OF BABES” in for the night (at least cyberly) and because of a pre-arranged MIS virus sweep, I missed out on a life changing event. Now I know what it’s like for a thirsty dude to go another day unquenched. 11:10pm may be an arbitrary stitch in time for most, but for me, it will always be a cruel reminder of the mis-opportunity to watch Beauty sleep (at least cyberly).

    Nignt, Night Sweet Sydney

  • Sydney

Wheat, you missed an opportunity indeed. I even wore my special negligee just for you.

  • Buckwheat

Damn! A negligee? Really? Damn! You gon’ have me walkin’ around here at work with a third leg. Negligee huh? Shoot! That’s a visual, that’s gon’ stay with me for awhile. Damn!

  • Sydney

LOL, hey Wheat! I’m home watching the Damages marathon.

  • Buckwheat

Hey Lady Sydney. Hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far. I’m taking a 5 min. break to say Greetings and Salutations before going back to desolation row to index more boxes. Hope to be out of here by 12:00 am. Take care of that body, (because Lord knows, I would sho nuff’ love too).

  • Sydney

    *Gasp* Wheat!!

  • Buckwheat

Yes I know, I need help. Still plugging away at these boxes. Taking a little break to wish you a night of sweet dreams Lady Sydney, since it’s past midnight your time.

    Night, Night Sweet Sydney:o)

  • Sydney

I hope you had pleasant dreams, Wheat. Good morning!

  • Buckwheat

Top O’ the mornin’ to ya’ Lady Sydney. Just woke up. It was a long night. Didn’t finish those boxes until a little after 3am. Hope you had a nice Saturday.

  • Sydney

Are you off today, Sir Wheat? It’s a beautiful Sunday here. I’m doing some cleaning and I want to do some reading later on. I bought s copy of “Come On, People” today.

    Smooches!

  • Buckwheat

Is that the Bill Cosby/Alvin Poussaint book advising black folks how to get their act together? I heard about it on one those morning news shows last week.

Ironically, the only people, who’re going to read it, are the ones that does have their act together.

  • Sydney

Yup, that’s the one. I saw Cosby and Poussaint on Meet the Press last Sunday.

Yeah, unfortunately, I think you’re right. A lot of “us” who need to read it, won’t. I think many of us are caught in a cycle of ignorance. We truly are in a crisis.

  • Buckwheat

Yep! Over-crowded school systems, due in part to apathy and and a whole lotta’ unplanned baby-makin’ + weak immigration laws, political greed and a breakdown in family values. Dang! I think i’m gettin’ old…I’m startin’ to sound like a republican:o)

  • Sydney

Either that or a conservative Democrat :) Yes, we have a plethora of social ills to address. The statistics regarding our community are deplorable.Change needs to happen.

  • Buckwheat

    Night, Night Sweet Sydney:o)

    Btw, how’s the book?

  • Sydney

Hey Wheat, I read chapter 1 of the book and it’s good, but it’s written in a very simplistic style and it repeats many truths I already live by. I think it’s written for a different audience. I’m still glad I bought it though. I really admire Dr. Poussaint, so his take is interesting.

    How’s your day going?

  • Buckwheat

Busy as all get out. It’s one those manic Mondays, wishing it was Sunday, because that’s my fun day (kind of):o)

  • Sydney

Are you a Bangles fan, Wheat? Yiu’re dating yourself, LOL.

  • Buckwheat

Hey! Ya’ gotta appreciate the classics. Ol’ Prince was a poet back in the day.

  • Sydney

Yes he was. And he had a thing for Susannah Hoff (sp?), right? Prince was the supreme mack. Who knew that such a little man could get so much action?

  • Buckwheat

Yeah, considering the way he dressed back during the eighties, sometimes he made Michael Jackson look like a Green Beret. That whole androgynous thing had a lotta’ women in a tizzy. Man i’m glad the old days are old. During the eighties, you had guys walkin’ around wearin’ make-up and Jheri Curls. It was a confusing time for the brothas’ in Los Angeles at that time.

  • Sydney

LOL! Now, Wheat, you know you sported a jheri curl.Don’t be ashamed. Be proud! I bet you kept it extra moist.

  • Buckwheat

Well to be perfectly honest, I was a major comicbook geek/nerd…And had a healthy fear of getting a girl pregnant, which at that time was happening alot with my peers…So I wasn’t exactly a Cassanova.

  • Nickki

I can’t believe that Montel won’t see his kids. I hope that isn’t true.

  • Kristy

Dayum, it looks like somebody was bonding up in here for awhile. So Syd and Buck, did yall get married or just get a room?

  • Sydney

Kristy, Wheat dumped me like a crack habit. I guess that’s what I get for treating a gossip site like a chat room. I thought he was a kindred spirit :(

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

  • Buckwheat

Hey Sydney I finally got around to setting up a personal email acct through my cable acct., so I sent you an email explaining my absence from this thread. Hope all is well.

  • Sydney

Is there a way to e-mail people on this site, Wheat? I didn’t receive anything.

  • Buckwheat

I used that lol@Darius link. It didn’t work? Oh well, lets’ try this, send a test email to this adress: dstovall@wbcounsel.com

  • Buckwheat

Hey Sydney I don’t think it worked. Instead of clicking on the link, why don’t you manually type it in and send.

  • Sydney

Wheat, I sent you a test e-mail. If you still haven’t received it, let me know.
