On Friday’s edition of HBO’s Real Time, Bill Maher had a threatening and racist message for supporters of Mitt Romney. “If you’re thinking about voting for Mitt Romney, I would like to make this one plea. Black people know who you are and they will come after you,” he said. “I’m kidding,” he said. “What I meant to say is ‘Mitt Romney cares.’”

“Imagine for a moment the outrage if a conservative commentator said even jokingly to Obama supporters, ‘White people know who you are and they will come after you,’” Noel Sheppard wrote at Newsbusters. Sheppard observed that if any conservative made such a statement, his or her career would be instantly finished.
