Former NFL tight end Jerramy Stevens married Olympic soccer superstar Hope Solo Tuesday, mere hours after the football player appeared in court for allegedly assaulting his fiancée. The wedding — coming after just two months of dating — was confirmed by Sportsradio 950AM and 102.9FM host Dave Mahler and apparently attended by U.S. National goalie Jillian Loyden. “Happy to witness such an amazing celebration of real love,” Loyden tweeted, presumably after having witnessed the event, which followed a rather dramatic two days for the couple. Earlier on Tuesday, Stevens, 33, and Solo, 31, had appeared at a municipal court in Kirkland, Wash., relating to Stevens’ arrest for alleged assault early Monday. At that time, police were responding to reports of an 8-person fight at a house party at Solo’s home in Kirkland.Would you wed an out of work NFL player with a troubled past after only two months of dating? We know not all jocks are dumb, but Hope Solo isn’t looking real bright right now. Just sayin’. Best of luck to this couple — and please Stop the Domestic Violence! TwitterSeveral intoxicated guests refused to cooperate with police and officers found Stevens lying on the floor upstairs, between the wall and a bed. He “appeared to be hiding,” according to court documents, although Stevens claimed he was sleeping. Officers noted blood on Stevens’ shirt and signs of a fight. He admitted to arguing with Solo, whose elbow was injured, according to the documents. Solo’s 34-year-old brother, Marcus, reportedly called 911 from the party. He told police two or three unknown men had started a fight and that he had used a stun gun on one of them, who left before police arrived, according to court documents. Solo wasn’t cooperative with police, reportedly telling her brother, “Don’t tell them anything,” according to Seattle PI. Two party guests were treated at a local hospital for non-serious injuries. Stevens, a one-time Seattle Seahawks player, was arrested for fourth-degree domestic assault but not charged and a judge determined there wasn’t enough evidence to prove the altercation. This apparently left the couple — who had applied for a marriage license days earlier — just enough time to wed. Stevens’ NFL career ended after a string of run-ins with the police, most recently a 2010 arrest for possession of kush, which got him booted from Tampa Bay.
