President Obama Poses With Olympic Gymnast McKayla Maroney

This picture of President Obama and Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney was taken on Thursday during a visit of the U.S. women’s Olympic team to the White House.

Maroney turned into an internet celebrity during this summer’s games when a picture of her famous scowl went viral and eventually turning into an internet meme.

The 16-year-old Olympian did deliver an impressive display in London, bringing home gold and silver for her country. But it was that latter, second-place finish that drew her ire.

After landing on her butt during an otherwise flawless performance, cameras picked up that unimpressed look during the medals ceremony. Although it has become a permanent part of her image, she’s taken it in good humor.
