i also miss seeing her tip toeing in her high heels with her ‘ruffies’ and champagne. Those Dior boots were a bit much, but cute. I see she no longer has the ‘Weather Girls’ as back up singers.

Her dad was 1/2 black and her mom was 100% white. That makes her 3/4 white by genetics and she looks 100% like a plain homely Irish girl. So what if she “acts” and “talks” black, copied a quasi-black singing style, and married a black dude? Lots of similarly flat-assed suburban white chicks do the same thing and I don’t see the black community trying to “claim” any of them. Lots of white entertainers copy the style of black folk. Her grandfather was half black and half venezuelan. Her grandmother 100% black. Whether her grandfather’s venezuelan roots are of white or african descent is unknown. Which means her father was a BLACK MAN which is how he lived his life and identified.

Mariah’s lived in various places during her young years but what does someone’s home location have to do with their race? Nothing, does it stop someone from being black, latino, chinese or whatever if most of the people in their neighborhood are white or whatever color? NO!
