Damn, is the Pied Piper of R&B on the come up???

R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet may soon be getting the Broadway treatment. The R&B star’s bizarro, guilty-pleasure hip-hop opera — which some might call his creative masterpiece, evolving chapter by chapter — has added new installments to air Friday on IFC.

IFC premiered the new editions Monday night at New York City’s Landmark Sunshine Theater, and in a Q&A at the event, the self-described “King of R&B” and “scientist of music” announced he “just got an offer from Broadway to do a Broadway version” and was in the process of adapting the shorts for the stage.

Really??? Would y’all spend your hard-earned money to see “Trapped In The Closet” on Broadway??
