As if the original wasn’t bad enough, now Ciara’s gone and done a Fantasy Ride remix of Beyonce’s ‘Diva’. So you decide, which one is least likely to make you want to cringe in disgust: Ciara’s or Sasha’s version??

Ummm…this is a real posting? Ciara vs. Beyonce?? Really??? Well, I might as well voice my opinion. Beyonce is a talented singer, actress and writer…despite what some may think. Ciara is a dancer. I love the original “Diva” song by Beyonce! Ciara keep working on that Mix tape and be sure to have a lot of talented guest FEATURES to ensure your album SALES whenever it may drop!

Ok, so I heard this over the weekend on MTO and am a little confused. Can someone please help me out here? Is this supposed to be a diss towards my girl Bee or is C just sampling the same way yall say Beyonce does? And the part where C says she’s far from booshie, was that aimed towards someone? I’m just not sure. Anyway, Bee’s if of course better but I’m sure Ciara would kill in the dance dept to this song. Now that would be interesting to see!
I think this song actually fits Ciara better…like this really SHOULD have been a Ciara track. Bey sounds completely out of her element, and like she’s trying really hard to be HARD. I thought Cici killed it.

Well I guess I found the answer to my question. Read the following taken from Sandra Rose’s site:
Last night I got a call from a trusted and very credible insider who gave me the scoop on the story behind Ciara’s remix to Beyonce’s “Diva”.
Although I can’t give you the particulars of what my source said, I can tell you that Ciara recorded the “Diva” remix on Friday night and released it online on Saturday ahead of (and to build anti*****tion for) her new single due out on Jan. 5.
My source said Ciara’s remix was in response to a subliminal diss by Beyonce in Bey’s song “Diva”.
My source told me that Ciara actually started the beef months ago by continuously talking trash behind Beyonce’s back to others within that tight inner circle that you and I aren’t privy to.
Word got back to Bey who handled it in her own non-aggressive way by simply ignoring Ciara.
If you read my Ciara Diaries, then you recall I told you that, according to insiders, Ciara had gone Hollywood on them and was “out of control.” CiCi even went as far as to say she was a much bigger star than Beyonce — and even Rihanna.
On September 30, Ciara released a track titled “Go Girl” that was supposed to be the first single off her now shelved album Fantasy Ride.
On the track Ciara sings,

Leave the remixes to the rappers. What I like about women in r&b is how different they are. I don’t want to hear Keyshia Cole sounding like Beyonce, Beyonce sounding like Mary, Mary sounding like Brandy. I like individuality. Ciara apparently thought it would be cute to do this, she’s not disrespecting Beyonce, but it’s like what’s the point. Oh I know to get her name out there to make people talk about her.

The concept of the song overall is cringing to me so I could care less for it. I honestly think the way the song was configured for a lighter voice sounds better with Ciara and I’m sure Ciara would’ve murdered the dance moves in a video. Beyonce sounds like she’s trying too hard and looks like an old woman trying to retain her youth in the video. Plus she tried to do almost half of Ciara’s dances and looked ridiculous doing so. Overall I don’t care for either version though.

What I think happen was people have been blowing tis “swag jack” out of porportion and Ciara wanted to play around and jack Beyonce, but it was a real “misstep” on her point…even dudes sing this song so I doubt if Ciara was serious and if she was well…

U have to remember that I live in the “A” and the line is a bit thinner down here, but I personally think it’s a great song for Beyonce…I do think the video could be better only if she did a club video and had “myself” as her DJ (and probably a couple of kissing scenes
)But @ the same time I think Ciara i cool, but I felt as if when she came out originally they were trying to force a void for Aaliyah…well that was in the past..but this song is whack either way U slice it…and listening to all type of music I know whack instantaneously
I do not care for either version of the song. A better remix would have switched up the arrangement/sound, and featured Beyonce and some other divas of which Ciara could have been one. A collaboration would have laid the groundwork for a killer performance at some music award show or something.

@ Ashley Ciara is not a rapper. Jumping on tracks is acceptable in the hip hop world but in the world of female *cough* vocalists it’s a no no especially when it’s a new single by someone like Beyonce. When you jump on a new Beyonce track it you better be able to bring it and Ciara could’nt.
