I find humor in many situations and varied comic approaches. But Steve Harvey is not funny. He has the ‘attitude’ of being funny, he ‘looks’ funny, you ‘expect’ funny things to come from his mouth, but if you really listen… not funny, nothing original, no cutting wit, nothing. He only associates himself with funny. Kind of like a roady for a band… he’s not musically talented but with his attitude some would think he’s ‘with’ the band. Steve might be the funniest guy at a family wedding (or funeral), but I seriously don’t know how he got where he is today.

Katt on the other hand is very talented at what he does. Not revolutionary, but he knows what he is doing.

Oh yeah, and regardless of whether of you like Steve or Katt better, Katt loses because Katt cares too much.

It’s like a Nas/Jay-Z battle….in the end, while Nas’s flow might’ve been better on Either, Jay-Z wasn’t invested like that.

The person who isn’t invested as much is the person who wins.

Steve doesn’t have anything to prove at this point, and they are like apples and oranges.

They appeal to different audiences and age groups.

And as Nina Knows said, I don’t think the point of the “Original Kings of Comedy” title was to be taken that literally, so people need to stop hatin’ and being so serious, and get a sense of perspective.

It’s a title and nothing more. Obviously, any respectable comic knows he/she needs to pay homage and respect to those that came before him/her, and I believe all those comics know and believe that.

I’m definitely with you on everything you just said.

You said the smartest thing out of everyone here.

Why the heck are black people in entertainment even competing like that?

And no one here can personally comment on anything about the Steve Harvey/Bernie Mac relationship because NONE of ya’ll were there to speak on it!!

How can anyone here talk about something they know nothing about.

Part of the problem with black people is that we are own worst enemy and continue to put each other down in the public eye for everyone to speculate on bullsh*t they know nothing about.
