Beyonce Knowles seems to have forgotten, her mother indicated that they had to move out of their home and get an apartment when Matthew Knowles quit his job as an executive working with the Xerox company and that they had separated for a while because all the financial responsiblities were given to her. Matthew Knowles wanted to concentrate on Desitny’s child. The Knowles did use Beyonce, how are they making their living? Beyonce needs to read between her own lines and remember that interview how mom gave and that the media refers to from time to time when repeating her biography.

Not that I am conceding the statement is true, but it doesn’t just say that the Jacksons were poor. It says that Joe Jackson used his children as a way out of poverty and Matthew Knowles didn’t. Joe Jackson was passionate about music and I think that was his driving motivation. Matthew did the exact same thing. It doesn’t matter how much money they had beforehand. Both fathers dedicated their lives completely to making their children successful. There is no differance.

The article was in Elle magazine this month. When I read it I had to read it again, and was appalled. I wondered if anyone else had read the entire article. My question is, if both ladies are NOW rich, what difference does it make who had what “Back in the day”. If anything your experiences make you who you are, and if you had to struggle more, then the more inspirational your life and message becomes, (meaning I think Beyonce is fluff, and ghetto, regardless of what kind of car they drove or what school she went to. First of all, Beyonce has no interviewing tactics. She can barely make a complete sentence without using the slang “Umm”. Ok people take it how you want Beyonce is not that intelligent whereby she can make comparisons or better yet speak without putting her foot in her mouth or better yet looking absolutely clueless about how to answer questions. This is where her family fills in the gaps, they are the backbone behind beyonce’s success. However, when it comes to performing, she has that down pact, look at her gross. So, basically we don’t see Beyonce all over everything saying “OMG she’s the best speaker ever”. No! So as for her way of trying to clarify what makes her family different from the Jacksons’ she should have kept her mouth shut out of respect to the other members in the Jackson family who we don’t know at all. I don’t doubt Beyonce’s talent exist, like so many other artists, if you don’t have a strong backing or finance, no matter how talented you may be, it will be more difficult to reach certain platforms in the entertainment business. I too wonder how long it will be before a tell-all book comes out, confirming the very things you mentioned: how B stole everyone’s limelight in DC, how Matthew is actually Kelly’s Daddy. However, I used to work with some folks from Houston who made a good point: after Latoya & Latavia were dropped from DC and sued for millions, Matthew probably made everyone in DC sign confidentiality clauses, banning them from ever going public with the real sh– that went down. He threw a couple mil behind his words to keep folks quiet. I think B is talented but not nearly as much as the media makes her out to be. She has the right look and can shake her ass-THAT’S how she became a star. Her voice is great but that’s not why she made it big. If you watch DC’s videos, over time, the camera would only focus on Beyonce. The original group as a whole had other shapely girls in it and Matthew dropped them to give B the limelight. Its VERY obvious and well-planned. I also HATE to hear her speak because she’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I’m not surprised by anything negative that she says. I love B’s music but her personality sucks. Janet is gettin’ gangsta as she gets older and I don’t doubt that she’ll confront B. But she’s too classy to do it in public.

And another thing, if it is true that Beyawnce said it, the appropriate comment should have been “The only comparison is that we have the same passion and drive for music!”. Something to that effect. It shouldn’t have come out that way because regardless, The Jackson 5 and Janet were tight performers, still loved and respected by many fans. In a interview you don’t have to answer any questions you don’t want to answer. So, I think she opened the door for some backlashing from fans alike. I am personally a big fan of Beyonce’s music. I think she is very very talented and is one of the few young artists out now that can actually sing. But the only conclusion I can draw from this is that she’s just not that smart. I have always thought she didn’t have good interviewing skills and she always sounds like she’s trying to sound smart but it’s just not working. She probably didn’t mean what she said in a malicious way but her lack of ability to convey her true intentions with intelligent words just isn’t there. She speaks horribly and I wish she would get some speech therapy and go to charm school. They need to prep her better for the public.

Didn’t your girl just announce to the world that she “wants to be an icon?” This was just last month! Even SHE knows that she’s not there yet! She is NOT an icon. I think that you’re the only one who hasn’t recognized that yet.

Open up your eyes there are other sites where people leave comments regarding their thoughts on that lame show. I had arguments with people who were white (and surprisingly some black men) that reveled/enjoyed in a show like that because according to them it showcased every stereotype about a black family. I did not defend HER LAME A** FAMILY because that’s impossible, but I did defend the Black family that predominantly exists in America and made it clear that not all black people are like that. If Beyonce wrote her own songs her name would be the first writer in the credit section instead of always being the 3rd or 4th writer. I have all of Janets albums. Also, Beyonce cant even pack in a full house in Europe, she has to perform smaller venues so the tickets sale out faster. I have it and I really like it, but for beyonce to be such a superstar I expected a little more from her. I consider myself a fan of hers since the first destiny’s child album but it seems like she started giving us crap when she put out B’Day: A few good hitmakers, but not that many songs. I think B’Day only had like 10 songs and Sasha Fierce has what like 11 or 12? Honestly the new album didn’t need to be a double disc. All she had to do was put all her songs on one disc and divide Beyonce’ from the alter-ego on the back of the cd cover. We would have still gotten the point. I never know if an emotion Beyonce displays is genuine or just apart of the act. I mean she cried at the exact same point in her concert at several different cities..so how could it have been heartfelt? It was just a part of the show. And talk about unoriginal, she may as well have invented it. It is understandable to draw inspiration from those before you and to remake classics, but when that is basically ALL you do it’s not attractive. And when you wear the exact same outfit hair and have a very similar background that another female artist did years before you..that’s straight up swagger jacking. I like Beyonce. I think she is a great entertainer and very pretty but I am a fan not a STAN and I recognize what’s real and what’s not. This is how I feel base don things I see with my own two eyes and nothing can change it. Her comment was out of line regardless of what the reason was. Yes someone compared her fam and the Jackson’s but you mean tell me she couldn’t have found something better to say than that, whether it be true or not? It’s about a certain level of respect you should have for other artists ESPECIALLY the immensely talented Jackson family who make your family look like the Flintstones Beyonce. Give me a break. I agree that being upper-middle class and attending private school doesn’t equate to good English. I even agree that music “icons” shouldn’t be looked at as education role-models, BUT:

First of all Joe Jackson (although he went overboard) was pushing his children toward success. Many parents do. We all know that Beyonce is not the brightest bulb, but can she really not see that her parents PIMPED her out. C’mon now. She’s been walking around half-naked since she hit the scene.
