What in the world would Tamera ever do without her twin?
Tia Mowry and her 17-month-old son are helping twin sis Tamera negotiate managing the rigors of breastfeeding and sleep deprivation that have come with the birth of her new son Aden.
Via OK Magazine reports:
When first-time mom Tamera Mowry-Housley welcomed son Aden Nov. 12, she turned to twin Tia Mowry-Hardrict, 34, for some much-needed advice.
“The first thing, she was like ‘oh my goodness, how do you do this breastfeeding? It’s difficult, it’s hard, and it hurts!’” Tia, whose son Cree is 17-months-old, tells me this week during ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Winter Wonderland event in NYC. “I’m like ‘just stay with it. Everything will be fine.’”
She continues, ‘I’ve also given her the advice of ‘sleep when the baby sleeps,’ because, like me, we want to make sure everything is tidied up around the house and in the kitchen and with the clothes. I’m like ‘Tamera, you just have to let them pile up a little bit, and sleep when your baby sleeps, because if you don’t, you will be a walking zombie.’”
One relative who can’t get enough of baby Aden is Tia’s son Cree, whose dad is her actor husband Cory.
“He loves him,” she says. “The first time he saw him, he let out a gasp. He went ‘uhhh!’ I thought that was so freaking adorable. And then I show him pictures of his little cousin, and he’ll just look at it. I’ll take the phone away, and he doesn’t want me to take the phone away. He’s mesmerized by Aden.”
She adds, “My sister and I, we think that they’re going to be best friends, and they’re going to turn on us. [laughs] They’re going to be crazy! [laughs]”
Both tots will surely enjoy watching Tia in the ABC Family original movie musical The Mistle-Tones, in which her caroling group faces off against Tori Spelling’s rival troupe.
“My son was one of the reasons I decided to do it, because I knew that this is something that he and our family can sit down and enjoy together.”
How precious! We can’t wait until Aden is old enough to start kicking it with Cree.
And in related news, it looks like the sisters will be following their cousin Jerome into the music business soon enough. Not only is Tamera featured on his new single “I Will” but she also confirmed that following Tia’s latest foray with “The Mistle-Tones” the twins plan on releasing a Christmas album in the future.
