Go Time: Artists Who Need To Drop Albums In 2013

Some people want to be buried inside high-end clothing stores. Others want their ashes sprinkled across the Apple store. Cee-Lo probably wants to be taller with longer arms and NeNe Leakes less built like a moose and more like a woman. Everyone wants something. We just want these artists to release new music in 2013.

Here are the ten artists we hope drop albums in 2013. Take a look.

Dr. Dre –

Dying before “Detox” drops is everyone’s greatest fear. That, and accidentally sending a thirsty DM as a tweet. But we’ll probably see Janelle Monae perform in a dress before it does, and that’s a tragedy.

Ri

Rihanna –

It’s been forever since she released an album (like almost a whole month) and we miss her. With seven albums in seven years, we always find ourselves Rihanna-starved with her old albums in heavy rotation. Hopefully, she’ll drop a new album before her next album drops. We need it.

nik

Nicki Minaj –

Nicki should continue reloading Roman Reloaded until people actually buy it. If Liam Neeson’s family can be taken, re-taken again and taken with a vengeance, and America flocks to see it, Nicki can re-load Roman Reloaded, again, for a 2013 release.

Bey

Beyonce –

Bey Bey’s last good album was “B’Day.” That was six years ago, before Taylor Swift and Adele were outselling her by millions of records and Blue Ivy was delivered by a magical stork born. 2013 needs to be her year or it’s over.

Notorious B.I.G. –

How could we really appreciate the tragically-slain legend without Diddy exploiting his legacy to keep the lights on at Bad Boy? Hearing him alongside Machine Gun Kelly, Red Café and French Montana (with Cassie on the hooks) would be incredible.

jhud

Jennifer Hudson –

Meek Mill rapping in ALL CAPS in 2012 has us hoping for a new Jennifer Hudson album in 2013. Only her magnificent megaphone-mouth can completely make us deaf, finishing what Meek started earlier this year.

R

R. Kelly –

He released “Love Letter” in 2010, “Write Me Back” in 2012 and naturally will release “Hello?” in 2013, right? Or are we the only people who care about this thrilling saga?

Teedra Moses –

“Missing” since signing to Rick Ross’ MMG imprint, no one has seen nor heard from the once-promising songbird in months. Industry insiders say Ricky signed Teedra to prevent her from ever releasing music again. We hope that’s not true.

jayelec

Jay Electronica –

He was the new IT rapper when “Exhibit C” dropped. For months, industry tastemakers gushed about him being NEXT. And then he faded to black, tweeting daily without releasing anything Rap-related, ever. At this point, his debut will probably drop on the same day as “Detox.”

Kreay

Kreayshawn –

Her debut album only sold 3,900 copies which means it never happened and should be re-released again next year when the world actually knows it exists. If Nicki can release the same album twice, Kreay can too.
