And one more thing…people, stop hatin on Janet, she was absolutely wonderful in the movie, she played the part that was given to her and she played it extremely well, during the kitchen scene, there was not a dry eye in the place, including mine…people just criticize Janet because they can, really for no other reason,because of envy, people will never give that girl the respect she deserves…. the whole cast including Tyler did an exceptional job….

This is must watch movie the plot the story line is well written….I think couples especially married couples should go out and see this…..I am so happy it is number one…Cause it was gettin such bad reviews in toronto one of the critics even had the nerve to say oh this movie mentioned the word god too many times…Well look how things worked out its number one

Loved the movie! & the cast as well. A definite buy when it comes out on DVD. I thought Jill Scott did a very good job considering she is a new comer to the big screen. Much Respect for Tyler Perry for his talent to produce, write, direct, and act in this movie.

As far as u feeling Bey is overexposed has nothing to do with the hate she recieved during dreamgirls. I was just stating that its interesting that they didn’t do the same type of comparison with Jill and Janet. Plus Janet has never been a good actress. You can go back to all the movies she has done, she never was good. But I don’t hate Janet. In my opinion her role was not that good in the movie and other people said it too, just stating the obvious that she hasn’t received the critisism that Bey received going up against another black female R&B artist in a movie. Which means that most people just be hating on Bey hard. But thats my opinion. They used Janet to help sell the movie when Jill’s role was the main role, just like they did with dreamgirls.

I thought the movie was OUTSTANDING. I felt this was Tyler Perry’s finest. The cast was great and I believed each person truly put their heart and soul into their character. I’ve seen negative comments about Janet Jackson but she played the ‘character’…..Tyler Perry had complete control over this film….when I found out it was the number#1 in the box office, I felt proud. Let’s be supportive and stop being so negative and ‘knit-picking’ everything apart. The movie was OUTSTANDING.

Go Tyler Perry. He is putting out quality, first Daddy’s Little Girls now this flick. I like him because he started from the bottom and made his way to the top. He wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth like most producers and actors. And he has been on Oprah two or three times.
