As much as I understand completely what he’s talking about, as well as the whole “Chocolate News” premise and the truth he’s trying to bring in his skits, I have a hard time finding him funny…because he’s David Alan Grier. He’s never really been that damn hilarious in the first place, especially not enough for him to have his own show.

IMO, of course. I’m hoping that W.Ps don’t watch this show and NOT get the message. They apparently didn’t get The Chappelle Show either, except the “Rick James, B**ch!” line they played out…to death. Crossing fingers; not holding breath.

I’ve always liked David Alan Grier. Just the look on his ugly mug is funny to me. Everytime I see him on anything I crack up. I have flashbacks of him on In Living Color singing, “Ah hah, Thank you very much!” or the Men of Film sketches. Cracks me up everytime. He could be in a dramatic role and I will crack up laughing. In Living Color was a classic. It’s hard to live up to that.
