T.I. Denied Bond

Rapper T.I., who was arrested over the weekend on federal weapons charges, was denied bond during a brief appearance in federal court Monday afternoon. A federal magistrate said he must remain in custody for now. Federal prosecutors are asking T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., be held without bond until his trial, which could be several months away.U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman scheduled a hearing on Friday to determine whether there was probable cause for Harris’ arrest and whether he will qualify for bond before trial. Harris was wearing a black shirt and black pants, with his hands cuffed and his legs chained, when he was led into the courtroom. He made eye contact with family members and sat in front of members of his family. He answered “Yes, sir,” and “Yes, your honor,” when asked if he had been provided a copy of charges against him and whether he understood the charges. During the hearing the courtroom was filled with a standing-room-only crowd. Those who arrived too late were forced to stand outside the courtroom.
This is a prime example of “When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong”, come on, what was he really planning on doing with all those machine guns.

This guy started working for him in JULY 2007 as an extra bodyguard. 3 weeks later he is coming at you to buy weapons for you???

From what I read, he wasn’t denied bond, his lawyers requested a continuance until Friday so that they could properly prepare for the bond hearing on Friday. He didn’t ask for bond to be set today so therefore he WASN’T denied!!!!!! I don’t think it’s a case of “keeping it real goes wrong” but more of a case where he got too greedy with that type of guns he wanted. A source close to Tameka “Tiny” Cottle has confirmed that Tiny is pregnant again with T.I.’s baby. The sex of the baby is unknown. The baby would be the couple’s second child together. Tiny delivered a stillborn baby girl this past March and the couple were determined to have another baby.
Meanwhile, T.I., real name Clifford Harris, was denied bond in a federal magistrate court today. In attendance at the proceedings were Tiny, two of T.I.’s other baby mamas and all of T.I.’s children except for King who remained at home. Tiny, who was arrested on marijuana and Ecstasy possession on Saturday, took King to visit his father in jail yesterday. I’m told the first thing T.I.P. did was apologize to Tiny.
My source informed me that King is still traumatized from the raid which took place at T.I.’s home in College Park on Saturday. ATF agents simultaneously broke down the front door while smashing out windows in the back of the house and tossing stun grenades into the house. King, 3, was in a downstairs room playing at the time of the raid. The other children had just left the home to go to acting cl*****. I’m told T.I.’s 15-year-old nephew ran out the back door and was tackled and stomped by ATF agents.
While agents found T.I.’s gun collection in his bedroom safe, no drugs were found in the home. Many have questioned why T.I. had such an *****nal in the first place. The answer is simple: boys love guns. My brother, Ray, has been an avid gun collector since his teens so I have no problem believing that. My brother obtained his license to carry a concealed weapon at the age of 18. He quickly am*****ed a collection of guns much larger than T.I.’s collection. Today, my brother, who never attended college, owns a GNC store in Dunnedin, Florida (a suburb of Tampa). My brother has never shot anyone.
It’s easy to question why T.I. was buying machine guns and silencers, but what gun collector (my brother included) doesn’t own a machine gun? It doesn’t mean they intend to start a war. I imagine it would be difficult for a boy like T.I. to turn down the chance to own a machine gun. It doesn’t make him a bad person.
Family friends state the bodyguard, whose initials are C.W., had a license to purchase certain weapons legally and offered to purchase guns for T.I. from the moment he started working for T.I. in July. That should have been a red flag. The family source said T.I. is not doing well in federal custody. “This is very hard on T.I.P.,” said the source.

I don’t really listen to TI like that but is that song lyric basically saying he’s been in jail 7 times or committed 7 felonies? If so, then it’s really dumb to come up with these “conspiracy theories” about “the man” trying to set him up. I don’t know why he tries to act so hood. I was done with him after I saw the same publicity stunt happen at 3 or 4 different concerts so he could prove what a thug he was. Man, please.

T.I, T.I.P, Clifford or whatever he wants to call himself is in big trouble. First off, as a convicted felon he is prohibited from buying or possessing any type of handgun (whether it be a B.B. gun or a machine gun) and it is illegal to have anyone purchase a gun for him on his behalf. The fact that he already had 6 guns in his home and a loaded gun in the car when he was arrested is problematic. Secondly, his attorney is a DUMB***** if I have ever heard of one. Someone in T.I.’s camp needs to find out if the man even has a damn bar license to practice in Georgia. He stated that he DIDN’T KNOW that T.I. was a convicted felon. Anyone who is remotely familiar with T.I. knows that he has been arrested at least once. As an attorney, particularly a defense attorney, you should know your client’s criminal history. That is lawyering 101. I’m a 3rd year law student and I know that. Furthermore, his lawyer asked for a continuance for a BOND HEARING! Are you kidding me? T.I. was arrested over the weekend on Saturday afternoon. His attorney should have spent the all of Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday prepping for that. As an intern I had to do a bond hearing with only 2 hours to prepare. He had a day and a half to prep. My advice to T.I: Get a better qualified attorney. T.I.’s best bet is to have his attorneys establish that there was no probable cause for arrest and that the search warrant was invalid for lack of probable cause. If they can do that then any of weapons found in his home and his car would be thrown out as being “fruits of an illegal seizure”. That might go for the drugs as well (*****uming they were not in plain view) but Tiny already claimed that the drugs were hers. That’s a different story.
P.S. I hear that Tiny took the rap for T.I. If that’s true, that’s so sad.

Ok first of all I know that T.I. was (or I hoped that he would be) smart enough to suspect this “bodyguard” from the start. This just doesn’t add up Georgia has some of the most laid back gun laws. In Georgia you can get a concealed weapons permit if you can get a driver licenses. So why not ask someone that you know that can legally purchase one and not a bodyguard that you have only known a few months to by a unregistered one. Even the silencer can be bought with the right permit.
