do you know that over the next two years, a vast amount of t-notes will come due. how do you think the u.s. will pay those notes off? WE WILL HAVE TO BORROW IT FROM SOME OTHER FOREIGN SUCKER!!

how long to do you think the world is going to finance a bankrupt country who has no possible way to pay back any of these loans, much less the interest???

obama’s whole plan hinges on the world financing these projects.

and if you check history you will see that fdr’s new deal DID NOT PULL US OUT OF THE DEPRESSION!!!!

my question is who the hell are these jobs for? mba’s? engineers? financial workers? there are 10 mil people out of work since dec 07. god knows how many this year and next. obama promises these 2-3 million jobs BY 2011. how the hell is that going to help anybody?? and these public works jobs are temporary. when the roads are built, where will the workers find their next job??? this is just another waste of money. oh, yah and why isn’t obama telling the people that china, japan, etc. will be the owners of all this new infrastructure?? smdh….

People need to understand because of the failed Bush Pro-corporate greed trade policies, and instead of rebuilding and replacing its aging infrastructure, the Bush Administration allowed the U.S. to literally dismantle and sell itself to China to pay for manufactured goods. America’s major exports to that nation are wood pulp and metal. President Elect Obama’s plan in part is quite similar to Franklin Delanor Roosevelt’s (FDR) New Deal under the WPA (Works Progress Administration), in which 8 million Americans were able to get work and salaries to help rebuild places like Louisiana (Katrina), bridges, roads and schools).
Most people do not even know that major pieces of our country’s infrastructure have been sold or leased to foreign companies and this trend doesn’t seem to be reversing. For example the Indiana Toll Road was leased in 2006 for 75 years to Cintra-Macquarie, a Spanish-Australia consortium, for a payment of $3.8 billion. An Australian company bought the U.S. half of the tunnel between Detroit and Windsor, Canada in 2001.
Thanks to the Bush Economic policies, many basic key pieces of infrastructure have already been acquired by foreigners. In 2006, there was a huge furor in Congress over Dubai (PEOPLE-Friends of the Bush Crime Family) World Ports, a corporation owned by the government of the UAE (United Arab Emirates), acquiring operations at six major U.S. ports. However, there was little attention paid to the fact that a British company had previously run these operations before the merger with Dubai World Ports. In fact, about 3/4 of the terminals in American ports are already managed by foreign companies.
Even your tap water is not immune. A French company, Veolia Water, serves over 600 municipalities in the U.S. Earlier this year, the corporation signed an agreement to design, build and operate Tampa’s expansion of their water treatment facility.

Agreed.Doubt it would happen though.Too many other entities would have to admit to stupidity.If it could be done however-I’D WANT THEM TO GIVE BACK THE BAILOUT MONEY.Not happening.That money was a “loan” like giving money to your young adult child is a “loan”

if the worst is not behind us, then no stimulus package will be much help in 2009.

People and the financial industries need to come to their senses and write down the prices of these homes and mortgages.

…..cut their losses and acknowledge they’ve overpaid and overmortgaged most homes bought and sold in the last 6 years.

These jobs won’t stimulate the economy. These government-made jobs are a joke, same low/no skilled labor that the government currently employees: post office, TSA, etc. “Where my check at?”
