They are both beautiful in their own right! I can’t be fun being that thin. I mean what the hell to the look like with their clothes off? Let’s come up with a new name. Skin & Bones=Skibones.

These two girls are on the skinnier side, but obesity is a real problem in the black community. There’s nothing wrong with loving yourself, but you must be in shape. The idea that it’s “white” to not have a big gut and fatass is silly.

Like that past Fantasia post. The chick is out of shape and thick. So she’s obese for her size. She’s rich and could easily hire a trainer. This is about health and living, not race.

Thandie is skinny, but Cassie is healthy. It may not be realistic to want to look like Cassie, but all black women should want to be “healthy” like her (healthy means no McD’s or Popeyes, or whatever other fast food filth I see the women I work with eating).

I’d say Cassie because I like her outfit better. From a distance, she kind of looks like a crack head though, but when you bring the picture closer, she looks nice without any (or much) make-up on.

Cassie just woke up so I’ll pass on that skinny one but Thandie is looking very cute…

I don’t like Thandie’s outfit but I’m not crazy about Cassie’s either. I think they are both gorgeous. I do like cassie a lot better without all the makeup on. She’s young and fresh and does not need all that plaster on her face. I say tie. Both beautiful women.

you sound real ignorant…these girls are skinny…Thandie admitted to an eating disorder….true African Americans appear to be more overweight than other races however I don’t think that as a race we find it normal to be overweight…just like I don’t find it normal to be underweight….and lets be clear…someone who is slim due to genetics is different than someone who is slim because they are starving themselves

On another site someone said the same thing: “there’s nothing wrong with Thandie’s size, just because most African American women are fat” lol What is this, a reaction to this new fixation on “thick” or something?? because it doesn’t make sense to me, looking at a woman who is OBVIOUSLY GRAVELY SKINNY (in fact, I know she’s anorexic because she said it BUT if I didn’t I could clearly look at her and tell she’s too thin)…

But, I will say this for so many of you who are quick to say African Americans embrace unhealthy body types and celebrate them, even… Well, that’s because most of us are naturally stout-bottomed (big legs, big butt)…So, of course, we celebrate it…what else can we do? And don’t say work out because I do 5 nights a week and I am STILL stout-bottomed…look at Beyonce, she works out incessantly to keep those abs and she’s always been stout-bottomed…just making observations…

Overweight yeah, because we would rather eat glass than to exercise and stop eating all the greasy ass food, that’s why we as a people are so damn fat and unhealthy with hypertension and diabetes running rampant in our communities.

To the earlier comment about Cassie’s race, she is half Fillipina and half Black. A beautiful girl who takes care of her body.

Obesity in our community would lessen if we stopped having children at too young an age; like teeanagers and early twenties. Your body changes a lot after a child and many women find it too difficult to get back into shape. If females held off having their first child say until around 25, 26, it would be better for them mentally and emotionally, because you would probably have a bit more sense about yourself and your place in the world.

I don’t think there is a magic age to having kids.It might be nice to wait to have kids until you are a little older but why wait until you almost over the hill. Look at Halle, she has done quite a bit in her career and now she has decided to get preggers at 41. She will be damn near a senior citizen when her child finishes high school. It is not cool to be selfish and but off having kids forever until you feel like there is nothing left that you can accomplish and then decide you want to be a mom. Parents should push kids on the swing not kids pushing parents wheelchairs.

On another note, it is not just african americans that are grossly overweight. Americans in general need to adopt a much healthier lifestyle. Britain is even competing with them when it comes to the Earths fattest nation! Compare the sizes of blacks in the west to those in Africa or even south america, and please don’t mention starvation. I am a Nigerian and God knows, what I used to call obese in Nigeria in high scholl is pretty common on the streets of London. Here, they’re just overweight. Even asians who come to the west have admitted adding eight when they adopt a more western diet. Ypu all need to make an individual change. It is not just a black problem, but Obesity is most pronounced amongst black men and women. Do somethin! It is, afterall, your own health!!!
