Care to know what L.A. Reid thought of the movie? “Django Unchained” gained another critic over the holidays, but it turns out he’s a fan too. Entertainment exec L.A. Reid was part of a select group of Diddy’s famous friends (Eddie Murphy and Denzel were there too) who joined him on his St. Bart’s yacht over the holidays for a special screening of the film. The former former “X:Factor” tv judge hasn’t shied away from sharing his thoughts on the film with the press.

“ ‘Django Unchained’ is a powerful story and incredibly entertaining movie,” Reid told us, saying he watched it twice. “The performances are all stellar, particularly Leo DiCaprio’s and Samuel L. Jackson’s . . . Jamie Foxx was also very strong.” But, he added, “One criticism: Although the N-word was unfortunately used liberally during the time the film depicted, I felt Q.T. should have approached the use of the word more sensitively and used it a lot less . . . It’s a painful part of America’s history and still an open wound.”

Do you agree that Tarantino was doing too much? Or was the overuse of the n-word just another one of the film’s satiric elements?
