Ne-Yo a No-Show in Seattle

As you can see from the pic above and by reading the story below, things don’t look good for Ne-Yo:
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo is already in trouble – just a few days into the New Year.
According to Seattle’s King5 News, Ne-Yo was a no-show at a much-anticipated New Year’s bash and has yet to issue refunds.
Billed as the biggest New Year’s Eve bash in the Bellevue area, featuring the “Year of the Gentleman” star, the Meydenbauer Center charged concertgoers $75 – $1,200 for tickets and exclusive VIP access – unfortunately for them there would be no Ne-Yo, no “Miss Independent” and definitely no performance of “Closer”.
Party-goer Michael Brandt told King5: “At 11:30 they had a pre-recorded message from Ne-Yo. He was on a plane from Nigeria and not able to come. They probably knew a day in advance. They could have cancelled or given a refund.”Promoted for weeks, the Meydenbauer concert sold nearly 300 tickets but the promoters have yet to refund ticket holders who attended the bash with the hope of seeing Ne-Yo.
If you’re searching for a refund King5 says good luck. the sponsor Wet Entertainment can’t be found on the web and the local marketing manager’s phone no longer works.
WTF, Ne-Yo. Well, where the hell were you? You had better take your happy ass back to Seattle and give those people what they paid for, you jerk.

But Neyo was very polite and kind in Nigeria, i wouldnt want to come and perform for savages like you.

You must be retarded. If you commit to something, especially a paid event where people are dishing out money on a huge night to see you as a professional, you better be sure you can make it. Why did he commit to this knowing he was gonna be on such a strict schedule? He should have planned his travel arrangements at least 2 days apart from eachother so that a delayed flight would not be a problem. flights are delayed all the time, and especially during holidays and you think its okay that he planned his appearance just hoping everything would be on time, and f*ck it if it isn’t? I can’t believe this, I’m from Seattle and saw Ne-yo with Trey Songz in June of 07′.He is such a talenter performer and his sets are really engaging, but I guess this goes back to how Seattle continually gets the short end from artists.

I live in Portland Oregon, and I don’t even recall Neyo’s concert being advertised on our local radio stations. Many of us travel to Seattle for concerts and other events and vice versa. Point being, the tickets may not have sold well, which is not uncommon for most black concerts that come our way; that’s why so many artists choose to byp***** the NW. Ain’t but so many of us out here. So Hell, I can’t blame the brother.
Take it from someone who lives here. If I had cash like Neyo, I would have been ringing in the New Year somewhere a hell of alot more exciting than out here, shoooot, LOL!

I paid good money to see Ne-Yo in Houston last yr and after a 2-hour delay he came on stage and said he wasn’t paid enough for the concert, sang 3 songs and left! BOO!
