Maintaining an estate is annoying.Even if you have the money.Home ownership is sooo overrated.
And he has 2 of them… one he’s building and the other one he’s selling. Remember, TBS is paying him $200 million for 100 episodes of Meet the Browns. That’s $40 million a year for 5 years folks (usually 20 episodes per season, calculate .25% as production cost, he walking with $30 mill pretax). Even if Mr. Perry paid $25 million for both properties, he’s only out of pocket $4 million a year… or 15% of what he brings home from TBS.
He’s on another level folks… we should all strive to do the same.

What ever movie that came out last year that he made money from will make him money again THIS YEAR when it goes to DVD.

Daddy’s Little Girls is the worst of his movies.
First, I was offended as a professional black woman that he would portray all college educated black women as stuck up b*tches who look down on black men who don’t have degrees. All of his films tend to insinuate that all black people with a little education and money are playing into this cl***** warfare in our community, which is not true. If it were true, does that make him stuck up too? Last time I checked he had a lot of money.
Second, tyler perry takes perfectly good actors and make them look like buffoons in his movies. I almost felt bad that Idris Elba was even in that movie. His character made no sense at all, as relating to the other characters in the film.

1–he’s selling b/c of the stalkerS. Since using the home in Diary, he says all kind of people have been “touring” his neighborhood to take pics, etc. One woman even scaled the 8ft fence around it to leave a love note at his door. I’d sell that ***** too!
2–he’s selling the house b/c he has just built a new house, i think in bankhead. after winning the fight with that white man over the land, he started building. I believe the house is finished, or should be b/c this was announced a long time ago.
3–no matter what the housing market, if the price is right, someone will buy it, ESPECIALLY in atlanta where there seems to be many people with money. He knows he doesnt need 2 mansions, especially not in the same city, so why not sell it. I don’t have a problem with his “God message” and I find these parts in his movies to be the most enjoyable (however I don’t enjoy any of his work so that is not saying much.)
I don’t want the “light” that Tyler Perry has because the “light” he has tends to inspire him to keep rehashing the same old stereotypes that have long since met their used-by date.
Money is not everything and it is definitely not a standard I use to judge my worth and is not a standard I use to judge the worth of others.
