Cam Newton Enrolls Back At Auburn University To Get His Degree

Cam Newton is back at Auburn.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback may be making millions in the NFL, but he still wants to earn his degree and has enrolled at Auburn for the spring semester.

Newton led Auburn to the national championship in 2010, his first and only year at the school, and won the Heisman Trophy.

Tigers coach Gus Malzahn, who was the offensive coordinator on the 2010 team, tweeted Tuesday: “Happy to see my man Cam back at AU this semester working toward his degree.”

Newton is reportedly majoring in sociology. Auburn spokesman Kirk Sampson told WSFA-TV that he was uncertain how many hours Newton needed to complete his degree. Newton previously attended the University of Florida and Blinn Community College.

He signed a four-year deal with Carolina in 2011 worth a reported $22 million that is fully guaranteed. A native of Atlanta, he attended Westlake High.

Way to go Cam, there are a gang of athletes WAY older than you that could learn from your example.
