The kid is gonna be okay, which makes this story slightly less tragic than this guy’s hair.

Via Tallahassee.com reports:

A man was arrested Saturday morning after a 5-year-old was shot while playing with a gun.

The victim’s brother, Cedric Wallace, 22, faces charges of child neglect after police discovered the gun was taken from his room, said Anitra Highland, public information officer for the Tallahassee Police Department.

Police responded to the 400 block of Great Lakes Street at 8:20 a.m. and found the boy with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Interviews at the scene revealed the boy was shot by his 7-year-old relative while the two were playing with the weapon, said Highland.

It is not known whether Wallace or any others were present at the time of the shooting.

The boy was rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

We’re just glad the kids were okay!
