During Monday’s inaugural festivities, while star spotting in the crowd ABC news correspondent George Stephanopoulos mistook former Celtics player Bill Russell for Morgan Freeman, saying, “There’s Morgan Freeman, I think, right there on the Capitol steps,” Stephanopoulos said.

Fortunately he was corrected by a colleague and apologized for the mistake. SMH. Guess he didn’t peep the Celtics hat with the #6 on it.

While both men are Obama supporters who are in their 70′s (Russell is 78 while Freeman is 75) over six feet tall, we can’t help but be disappointed at this gaffe.
