Queen Latifah Staying Put as Jenny Craig Spokesperson

Queen Latifah isn’t going anywhere just yet as far as Jenny Craig is concerned:
The Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-nominated actress, who became spokesperson for the weight-loss chain last year, will continue through 2009, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.
“We are proud of Queen Latifah’s achievements and are excited to continue the relationship,” says Scott Parker, vice president of marketing for Jenny Craig. “Queen Latifah embodies the healthy lifestyle principles and character that Jenny Craig stands for and we look forward to another great year.”
After following the footsteps of Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli as spokeswoman, Latifah, 38, shed 20 pounds in 2008. Famous for her curves, she has said her goal was never “about getting skinny” but to have a healthy lifestyle through proper nutrition and fitness.
We can’t even lie about it, home skillet has been looking kinda, maybe a little bit, sort of decent lately. She’s gotta stay right to get after all those cakes she craves. Damn.

Sorry, she does clean up well. But it would be good if she maintained it most of the time. She doesn’t look so good when she hasn’t got all the slap on and a decent frock. She looks like a trucker at times in her sweats (sorry).

I think it’s fabulous that people are standing up for Queen Latifa. To qualify, a pretty, elegant, urbane and hardworking Trucker. I did not imply she was a lezzer either. Incidently I love the “L” Word, Pam Grier rocks (although she is not a lezzer in it). Please note I did not call her King Latifah or Queen Fatifah.

God, why is it the black spokesperson for Jenny Craig is the one who can’t lose any damn weight?? She has not lost ONE POUND which is pathetic enough. Then when they had her commercials last year she was talking about how her BMI has gone down… fuck BMI I wanna see you lose REAL POUNDAGE! She didn’t lose shit. porbably 5 pounds in water weight. She needs to step down and let someone who is serious about losing weight be a spokes person. Kirstie allie and Valarie bertinelli look great and it is visible that they lost weight.

To say that she went from being 70 lbs overweight to 50 lbs overweight is not much of a success story for Jenny Craig. She looks good for a fat lady. It’s sad that her live-in girlfriend (aka the “friend” who was vacationing with Queen in Tobago) is a personal fitness trainer and can’t help her lose all that excess flab.
she wants to slowly but surely get healthy. so what is worse? her losing a few pounds at a time and keeping them off, or someone like oprah who goes up and down like a balloon? i’m no expert,but which is better? the slow and steady pace should be better for a person, rather than lose a ton of weight, only to gain it back in a year’s time??

The only workout her personal trainer gives her is a massage. It’s way too many single hollywood actresses, they all are doing each other. Thats why the men in hollywood are gay. Show business is way overrated, nothing but stress, trying to stay relevant all the time.
